ramystyle
Hi, I know that in the admin section, for the affiliates, there's a box where we can enter our own html code.. I was thinking that maybe there should be an option in the admin section (Under affiliates) where the admin can upload some banners or put some text and then this would automatically create a box with the html code to copy/paste in the client area. I know this might be unclear, so here's an example of what I mean: http://www.sellwebhost.com/link.php This could be what appears in the client area. I think this would be a good way to help your clients market your business and it's easier for the admin because we'll just have to upload our banners (and new ones in the future) or just put some text such as :"This site is hosted by.... " What do you think ?
joe123
That would be a good idea , but : this will add unnecessary code to the system , adding 10 banners the way it is now with the html code under it for clienrs to copy and paste, takes only 10 minutes and you do not do it everyday. don't be lazy

I agree here with what you are saying about adding unnecessary code. However, i think that this would also be an excellent idea to add to the affiliates system which whmcs and personally would support this as a feature request John
ramystyle
I really hope this will be considered.. I just took a look at the affiliate section of this site and this is what I've been trying to do... Right now, whenever I integrate my code in the admin section, it shows all bogus codes in the clients area.. It would be nice to have in the admin area a field : "Enter URL of your banner", "enter text" and it generates the code with the affiliate link in the client area...
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted June 1, 2007 WHMCS CEO Share Posted June 1, 2007 It's clearly explained how you should enter your code with the use of <( and )> to prevent it executing. The way you see the banners on our site is done in exactly the same way. There are even examples of how to do it in the manual. http://v3manual.whmcs.com/?id=79 * Moved to Client Discussion *
skshost
With some minor template changes I was able to get the desired effect, but only with 1 banner. So the option for multiple affiliate codes, for multiple ad images would be nice.
frisco
Dumb question... in the affiliate link samples you have in the manual, do I replace the href="[AffiliateLinkCode]" with href="/*?id=010" or with something like href="http://domain.com/support/*?id=010"? Can the link be to a specific order URL instead of to the * page, and still capture the affiliate id? Thanks... Bill
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted June 4, 2007 WHMCS CEO Share Posted June 4, 2007 No, WHMCS replaces [AffiliiateLinkCode] with the affiliates unique referral url automatically.
