Solstice
I need advise on which Payment Gateway to go through. Currently using Paypal but a lot of clients lately have been contacting support asking that we provide another checkout option as they don't want to use Paypal due to recent problems with their staff and the annoying lightboxes they've got all over the place now trying to shove BillMeLater down ppl's throats. I put up Google Checkout, processed 5 orders through that but the call back never works, every transaction has been double charged & the transaction is ALWAYS flagged for "manual review" which takes 4-6 hours & is a pain in the butt. And to top that off, last night, their manual review process approved an order that was quite obviously fraud. I have real time traffic monitoring on my site, the user had a Brazilian IP, signed up with: Name: Alex Chester Address: 123 Chester Way City: Logan State: CA Zip: 90210 Which was all obviously fake. Then proceeded to place every single item we offer in their cart, , and went to Google Checkout to pay the $125 bill. The billing address for the credit card was a PA address & I am actively trying to get in contact with the card holder to let her know her cc has been compromised & that she's looking at $300 in potentially unauthorized charges; from her answering machine she sounds like an elderly person. I canceled the transactions, and Google went ahead & debited my account for the fees anyway as is their policy apparently. I can not find a way to actually speak with a live person at GC, only their automated help which goes in circles & is of no real help at all. Fail. Another important note about them is that their "protection" policies do NOT apply to intangible goods (i.e. Webhosts / us). Sooo now I'm looking for another payment gateway. I do have SSL on the billing system, so thinking of doing the "real deal" this time around. I've looked at a few of the gateways integrated with WHMCS and all the ones I've seen have outrageous charges & massive amounts of paperwork required. Anyone have any recommendations for a U.S. processor? Ideally: Minimal Paperwork Fees less than or equal to 2.9% + $0.30 (Paypal's fees) White label I'm looking at PlanetAuthorize.net as they have $79/Setup & a flat rate of $20/month for the first 250 transactions & they do provide a WHMCS module. Problem is, it sounds too good to be true. Does anyone have any feedback on them? Any & all feedback, etc. would be greatly appreciated!! KevinR
I'm also looking for some other payment gateways. Especially ones that support Verified by Visa but don't require a Merchant Account.
