Adamski
I've just created an order for an existing client with paypal subscription as the payment method. Now as I"ve created the order the customer hasn't been through paypal yet. But no invoice was produced for the customer. I know she wants to pay by paypal (she has had free hosting so i didn't want her to have to sign up !). How does she get an invoice to pay? WHMCS CEO Matt Posted March 14, 2007 WHMCS CEO Share Posted March 14, 2007 She will need to go My Hosting Accounts > View Details > Recreate Subscription. No invoices are generated for PayPal Subscriptions in advance of being paid.
Adamski
Thanks Matt, She had paid now and the info has come into WHMCS. I have the option to create invoices for subscription payments when recevied ticked but no invoice has been sent to client. Should it send automatically? Do I need to manual send it? The only invoice I can find is int h transaction log but the invoice is shown as cancelled and there is no info in it (see screen shot). In testing with my own paypal account this all worked fine. Thanks, Adam [image removed so I can delete it]
Adamski
Ok it appears it did create the invoice as it shows in the client area, but there is still no data in it. I did another test payment and it is the same - when you try and view it says "An Error Occured. Please Try Again"
Adamski
Ok just so you know if it happens to you.. If you use Paypal subscriptions and have it set to generate invoices for paypal subscription payings in config > general config > invoices then you need to have the Paypal Invoices gateway activated.
