InternetSecure Payment Error

I'm receiving the following error when processing a credit card I know is valid.

 

"The credit card details you entered were declined"

 

How do I troubleshoot this? As far as I know I've entered the gateway details correctly. The InternetSecure setup screen only gives me the following options:

 

Show on Order Form

Visible Name

CAD Currency Login ID

USD Currency Login ID

Test Mode

 

InternetSecure issued me a mechant name, gateway id number, and MID number. I entered the gateway id number for US login ID value since that is what I use to log into InternetSecures' site. Not sure what the MID is for, but I've tried entering that one instead with no luck. What am I missing?

...bump....

 

The InternetSecure team said that I was using the correct parameters, but I'm still getting the declined errors. Here is debug information showing up in my gateway log.

 

Invoice ID => 13

User ID => 11

Amount => 24.95

I can confirm the gateway ID number (5 numbers) is the correct Login ID to use.

 

As for the error, are you in demo mode? Is your account with IS active? You need to make sure to give your server IP address to InternetSecure for them to be able to process transactions.

 

Also, you might have better luck debugging by contacting their technical support team and ask them why it is being declined, rather than trying to debug yourself.

 

We haven't tried the WHMCS 4.2.x version of the InternetSecure module yet, but it works fine in 4.1.x. Also supports recurring payments if IS allowed it for your account.
