Enom Setup & Guidance ....

Enom advised I signed up with them through WHMCS (and I thought I signed up under HostGator ... oh well). Anyway, am trying to get everything flagged correctly to avoid problems as I begin operations.

Your instructions advise, "you need to register your server IP with Enom to be allowed access to your account" and not sure where to do that. On my Enom account I see you can select (1) Use default host records or (2) Define your own default host records in the fields below. Is this where it is registered? If I check "default host records" is that my HG reseller hosting account?

Haven't deposited money with Enom yet but ready to transfer some domains to my account. I read so many threads on Enom Reseller and Retailer accounts that I am VERY confused. So I will ask here and be done with it. What are the differences, in the two accounts, for purchasing then maintaining client domain purchases via WHMCS. I asked Enom this question and they responded I needed to ask WHMCS since I joined via you.

Reseller account you can set custom dns and domain ownership. Which is what you want.

I did the $100 thing this morning so I'm good to go (as soon as it clears -- credit card). Left the test thing alone as I think I will just log in my account each time and purchase (or transfer) the domains. Then have the DNS set to my reseller NS1 & NS2 -- hope it's that simple.

Anyway, there is always a learning curve at the beginning of all things. Glad to have this board to fall back on.

Thanks,

Patsy
