neobug103
This issue has plagued me for a while. All the other emails go straight to the inbox, yet the login information email (most important email) goes into the spam box for almost all my clients. Yes, I do have an spf record setup and no it is not in a spam database nor has the ip ever been in one. It must specific text in the email or how it is structured, anybody have any advice?
sgrayban
Have you checked your servers IP against rbls ? Having a spf record doesn't stop your IP from being listed. http://www.blacklistalert.org Another thing your clients need to be whitelisting your address and that will over rule what the email client wants to do.
neobug103
Hello Scott, Thank you for the suggestion but as I mentioned in my post, I already checked it for any blacklisting and yes the domain has an SPF record. Not to mention the fact that ALL the other emails go into the inbox, only the login info email goes into the spam box - which obviously indicates the problem is not at the IP or Server level. Also in regards to whitelisting, since the login information email is sent out immediately after a client signs up, it is not possible to ask them to whitelist the email address between the split second they pay and when the login info email gets sent out. And due to cosmetic reasons, I would prefer not to advertise "please white list email@domain.com" all over my website.

You don't have advertise all over your website just add the whitelist request to the clientregister.tpl template.
neobug103
Unfortunately that is more like a detour, I'm looking for a solution. I would appreciate any advice on specifically what content in the login information email might be causing it to go in the spam folder.
sgrayban
I gave you 2 solutions. As for actual specifics on why your email is being classified as spam is look at the headers of a email that a client got. Only then will you know what is going on.
