Why pending orders?

Skeptical

Recommended Posts

I have clients who have ordered and completed payment. In their client summary page as well as the product and invoice page, it all says active and paid.

However, when I go to "Orders > List All Orders" I see the order as pending. I mean what's the point of this thing? I even see orders on that page that have already been deleted.

Is there any significance to this?

So am I correct in saying that this pending orders thing has absolutely no functional consequences, and merely cosmetic, so that the admin can review them?

So if any order is already activated and paid, clicking on an order here saying it's not approved or deleting doesn't affect anything else?

No it has function, its your settings that made it do that. most likely you have the package set to auto create on payment but the default of the system is to put an order to pending for admin verification. the package specific setting over rides default settings.

deleting an order will remove its entires from the system, this should include the service from the clients account. but it will not terminate the package. all well and good if you like giving away your services
