m00
Nielsenj created a loginshare module for WHMCS 3. Unfortunately it doesn't work any more with WHMCS 4. I did a rewrite for the module which is attached. Please let me know if you have any questions. ipb loginshare.zip
Mark.Kronic
Thanks a lot for this. Is there anyone currently using it that would be able to provide some feedback?
sgrayban
I'm using it -- actually I am the guy that got m00 to fix it for me. What feedback did you want ?
Mark.Kronic
Well I've installed it correctly (well I think so). When I click register on my forums, it takes me to the WHMCS registration page (which it's supposed to). I register an account and can log into WHMCS fine, however I can't login to my forums (IP.Board 3) using those same details.
sgrayban
Did you allow API access in WHMCS for the board ?
Mark.Kronic
I didn't know I had to add the IP address of my website to the list within WHMCS. It's working perfectly now.
sgrayban
I think he had that step in there.... No he didn't so its in the thread now that you do have to do that step
m00
I indeed forget to add that step to the readme. For the users who don't know where to add: Go to your WHMCS admin environment, click on Setup, General Settings and then the tab Security. Then add 127.0.0.1 and/or your server IP to the "API IP Access Restriction" box. Edited April 15, 2010 by m00
sgrayban
Providing that the forum is install to 127.0.0.1 which I doubt People wouldn't be able to get to it then. You use the IP the forum site is using......
Pyloth
What happens if Person 1 registers a username on the forums already (doesn't use WHMCS) and Person 2 registers on the WHMCS with the same username? Nevermind...I just thought something really stupid in my head...for some reason I thought the customer HAD to make a purchase to use WHMCS... Anyways, thanks a bunch Edited May 7, 2010 by Pyloth

m00
When trying to add the API IP address and at the top of pages in the admincp. I am running an older version maybe i should upgrade, just afriad i lose the integration template that whmcs done for me ... version 402 The 4.0.2 version supports action hooks, so that shouldn't be a problem. Do you have $display_errors = true in your configuration.php? If so, remove it and try again. Not the most beautiful solution, because the error still occurs "on the background". Also, I would recommend you to upgrade to the latest version. You need to do some changes on your template files, but isn't very difficult using the changelogs of WHMCS.

JD45
Thank a ton to jasper helping me on msn for taking all that up and running smoothly. Care to share what you did to fix it? I'm having the same issues you did with the client not being able to login to ipb after registering through WHMCS.
sgrayban
If there are any errors please post them. Did you guys add the forums IP to the access list ? Did you add the correct API url in the IPB addon settings ?

I'm having the same issues you did with the client not being able to login to ipb after registering through WHMCS. The credentials were incorrect. As Scott also told: don't forget to add the webserver to the API access list. If you have any questions regarding this module, just send me an email. My email address is in the readme.

I did add the server's IP to the access list and I thought the correct API url. For the API url is it the absolute path or relative path? Thanks once again!
