Majid
Hi guys, Is anyone else having a problem with pending/incomplete orders? I have not opened a ticket yet with Matt as we had plenty of tickets opened with him last week so I do not want to come across as pain the ar$e. However we seem to have plenty of people go through the order form down to the last step where they have to enter their credit card information. Now if they did enter that information we sure wouldn't have a problem but once they do leave the order page without ever completing the order...It is listed with other pending orders with a incomplete status. We can no longer deal with this and will have to ask Matt to do custom work if required to get this changed. I just wanted to know if anyone else thought this should be changed as well. RichardAnderson
Mark them canceled? They will not appear then. We too get loads of these orders.
Majid
Yes, we can manually delete them however that wasn't my point. Wouldn't it be better if the orders which are not completed not be within the system in the first place? I think I am just disappointed everytime an order isn't completed I for one would not want to see incomplete orders within the system. WHMCS CEO Matt Posted March 12, 2007 WHMCS CEO Share Posted March 12, 2007 For an order to be there, the order has been completed up to the point of making payment. Therefore the client has chosen their package, filled out all their details and clicked the checkout button so the order is completed but just unpaid. If for example you use the Mail In Payment payment option then you certainly wouldn't want this order just disappearing because it wasn't paid! PPH
Yep, I personally would like to see the order and even contact the customer to see if there was a problem

Matt Can the behavior be dependent on whether or not the customer chooses to pay by mail or not? I too would not want to see incomplete orders in my system. I can't really see a reason for having this information stored anywhere, except perhaps error logs or something.
Majid
Matt, Far as I know not many hosts accept mail in payments. While some do I do not think everyone else should have to put up with incomplete orders. I do not consider that to be a complete order unless a payment has been made considering we only accept CC...perhaps this could be based on if the hosts actually accepts mail in payments it would surely solve the problem. We are seriously not very fond of having incomplete orders within the system and I surely don't feel too happy when I go through the pending orders and find couple of incomplete orders. We have thousands of affiliates and most of them usually go through the order process or users who are planning to buy later go through the whole order process just to see if any other fees are going to be added at the time of the order.
