[solved for now] DirectAdmin private_html issue

This is kinda strange

I'm using DirectAdmin 1.29.0/PHP Version 4.4.5 Mod_php with mod_userdir disabled/suhosin/user_basedir

I have my whmcs installed in

private_html/clients/

I can access order.php/clientarea.php/supporttickets.php but

I cant access index.php/announcements.php/downloads.php

Apache error log only shows /home/iroxyca/domains/iroxy.ca/private_html/404.shtml

If I install whmcs under

public_html/clients/ then the script works fine.

all looks ok here....try downloads.php and then announcements.php :)

http://iroxy.ca/clients/announcements.php

http://iroxy.ca/clients/downloads.php

I do see if you goto the client.php it is pulled through https and then gives the error as not found for anything you click on after https is activated. Something is wrong with your certificate?

Well this is what I had to do.

In DirectAdmin when you install a SSl cert you have the option to use a seperate private_html directory for secure files or to create a symlink.

So I disablede the SSL cert and this gave me the option to choose the symlink from private_html to public_html.

Now in WHMCS config I set the WHMCS System URL to http://www.iroxy.ca/clients and WHMCS SSL System URL to https://iroxy.ca/clients.

Now it seems to work ok.
