PPH
Is anyone else experiencing paypal subscription payments being posted to the wrong clients account? It has happened a second time for us and when we look at the client area for the client that is marked as paid, they are not set up as subscriptions, but somehow have an entry appeared in the subscription ID to match the other users subscription. They also had nothing due. We originally imported our clients manually using paypal subscriptions according to directions to not have an invoice created. We then changed to the proper payment method and also added the call back url in paypal along with the proper subscription id for existing subscriptions.

PPH
After it happened the first time, I wrote it off to adding the subscription id by mistake to the other account along with the one it belonged to. But I then went through all the clients hosting to verify I didn't do it somewhere else to make sure it didn't happen again. Now I went through all of them again and they are all correct, so watching to see if it happens again.

WHMCS CEO Matt Posted March 5, 2007 WHMCS CEO Share Posted March 5, 2007 If you are using subscriptions that were setup in another system then it is entirely possible that this can and will happen if that system has assigned a variable to a payment that matches with an account in WHMCS. xxkylexx
I have not used any other systems to set up these subscriptions. All have been done through WHMCS, from the beginning.
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted March 6, 2007 WHMCS CEO Share Posted March 6, 2007 Then it is very unlikely that a subscription payment was credited to the wrong account as a result of a PayPal callback unless you'd entered the subscription id manually on another account.
