Questions about WHMCS

MattJennings

Question

Hi Guys. I just had a few questions before I go ahead and buy this. I am new to cpanel and hosting business. My first question is just to clarify what WHMCS actually is and if it will serve my purpose. WHMCS is an automated billing system that will work with cpanel, correct? It will be able to allow my customers to sign up with my cpanel hosting packages and have the accounts set up automatically and bill them automatically so that no admin interaction is needed?

My second question is (if my first assumption was accurate): can I somehow integrate this to bill/automate freebsd shell accounts created on another server? I planned on using webmin to manually create the accounts, but I would like to also automate this.

Third: I have a flash website template that I wanted to use as my main website, but I see that WHMCS basically *is* the website.. is there any way to integrate my template into WHMCS? or vice versa

Hi Matt,

You are right with question one, it does that and so so much more.

2, not too sure on this one, for WHMCS to function with a control panel or system you need an API and a module written for WHMCS that can use that API.

3, WHMCS is just the billing/support section of your site. You can create pages around your whmcs theme or you can make your whmcs look just like your main site, as for flash im not 100% sure on that.
