How to assign IPs to dedicated server nameservers?

Hi guys.

I've searched but I can't find where to assign IPs to dedicated server nameservers. I tried using ns1.domain.com - 66.90.98.01 and ns1.domain.com - 66.90.98.02 on the nameserver field on client's products page, but it doesn't seem to be the right way.

On the domain page I don't have the nameserver fields because I'm not using any registrars, for I can't use them for .com.br domains so I'm using "email" option.

Tks in advance for any help. :)

Hi Patty,

Normally, IP's are assigned to nameservers at the registrar's domain name management interface. You might have to dig a little deeper to get to the window which permits reassigning IP addresses to your nameservers. If you cannot find it, ask for help from your registrar. Changing email DNS settings alone will not setup a well functioning domain name.

I have no idea how you can have an IP address/domain name without having an associated registrar.

I hope this helps. Cheers!

If i have this right all you need is a stock of IP's in your WHM IP pool ( WHM >> Main >> IP Functions >> Show IP Address Usage) that are not in use then when the plane / sever is setup it should get the next IP/s and then place them in WHMCS so then they get added to the email and product details etc.. ?

Thank you for your reply, but I don't have IPs in stock. The IP is configured for each server whenever the server is assembled for a client. There should be a field where we could show ns1.nameserver.com + IP number. I guess it's missing on WHMCS.
