rykerx Posted January 31, 2010 Share Posted January 31, 2010 I need help with a quick issue I have.. after investigating my problem with domain checker always coming up with 'unavailable' I discover that it is a firewall problem.. My server is blocking port 43.. I call my server and ask them if they can open port 43 and unfortunately they say they cannot due to security, I tried switching to a similar host but they also do not allow port 43 open. I want to know if we need port 43 only open for whois to check domains or is there a 3rd party script to check domains instead?
