Abe
I've been a little busy to keep WHMCS up to date. I'm currently at 4.0.2, but the incremental update is only from 4.1.1.... How would be the best way to go about updating in a non-destructive manor? Would it be easiest to install 4.1.2 as new and copy the old data from the SQL dump?
Abe
.... I have tried the import script but keep getting the following errors: Step 3 - Import Process Imported Server *NAME* Imported Product *NAME* Invalid query - : Added New Client (x4) Import Completed Successfully! WHMCS CEO Matt Posted January 22, 2010 WHMCS CEO Share Posted January 22, 2010 No, you shouldn't install new and then restore your old database as then all you're actually changing is the files so you wouldn't be updated. Similarly you don't use the importer to upgrade either. When upgrading, you should always just download the full package and follow the upgrade instructions from the readme file included within it. Incrementals are only for use to move from a single version to the next so by definition there would never be an incremental to go from say 4.0.2 to 4.1.2 as that's more than one version change. Abe
^Yeah, I tried that and got a blank screen with no output using the debug. Seemed easier to make the SQL changes on the old DB and use a new installs files.
