  1. I think this problem I'm experiencing is a bug but not too sure if it is WHMCS or Stargate. Currently, my WHMCS is configured to register/transfer/renew domains automatically upon payment confirmation. For new registrations, of course a new account has to be registered with Stargate for the domain control panel login. Although the accounts were created successfully, my clients are not receiving the domain control panel login details from Stargate. Any solutions?
  2. I was wondering if I could replace the text with my logo instead when customers checkout with PayPal. I used an ecommerce software (Prestashop) and their built-in PayPal module had a setting to use my own logo. Do refer to the image below (highlighted in red rectangle box) to have a clearer picture on what I'm talking about: Thanks in advance!
  3. Mine is a Premier account and I have no issues accepting payments automatically. I did not change any settings as well, it was all default.
  4. Thanks for the tips! By the way, out of curiosity, do people look for web hosting providers in auction sites?
  5. You should check back your logs and see what went wrong. It should tell you why the auto-registration failed.
  6. Don't think so I'll be investing in advertising for the time being, maybe a year later first. So what other options do I have? Are there any good web hosting classifieds out there?
  7. Yes, if you purchased an owned license for your WHMCS, it will still work (although without updates after a year). It seems that you are on the monthly leased license.
  8. I've been doing a lot of testing lately and I want to cleanup the logs to make a fresh start. So this can only be done via the database?
  9. Hi, is there any way I can clear the admin/activity logs? The only possible way I see now is to clear it from the database?
  10. Hi all, I've recently started a small scale web hosting business (not even a month old yet) and it would be great to hear from all of you about your experience when it first started. I'm currently on a reseller plan as a start and will be moving on to something bigger like a dedicated server once the sales starts picking up. How was it for your web hosting business when it first started off? Was the sales really slow? It is tough for me although I'm not in the business for very long, but I still feel that being a small company fighting with the other big boys in the industry, it is very difficult. This question may be subjective but how long did it take before sales got faster for you? So how did you get your web hosting company noticed in the first place? What are my other alternatives to advertising since I would like to start small first and don't wish to splash out on paid advertisements? Your feedback is very much appreciated!
  11. I see, well no looking back for me now since I've already purchased the license. =D
  12. Well, just a thought that went through my head, I think this is something that WHMCS should fix because if the trial license is over the 15 days, it shouldn't be working but instead it still works like normal. If so, then I think it'll be unfair to those who purchased the license (apart from the better support for those who purchased the license with some goodies like an account with ResellerClub etc.)? Maybe I think too much.
  13. Hi, it seems that my WHMCS has issues auto registering domain names upon payment with Stargate. The error shows: Domain Registration Failed - Domain ID: 7 - Domain: xxxxxxxx.net - Error: HTTP Error: cURL ERROR: 1: Protocol https not supported or disabled in libcurl url: https://www.foundationapi.com:443/anacreon/servlet/APIv3 content_type: http_code: 0 header_size: 0 request_size: 0 filetime: -1 ssl_verify_result: 0 redirect_count: 0 total_time: 0 namelookup_time: 0 connect_time: 0 pretransfer_time: 0 size_upload: 0 size_download: 0 speed_download: 0 speed_upload: 0 download_content_length: -1 upload_content_length: -1 starttransfer_time: 0 redirect_time: 0 What is wrong here? Thanks!
  14. Does 2checkout serve other countries as well? How do they pay?
  15. Weird, the 15 days is up and everything still works like normal.
  16. Yes I'm planning to purchase the license but just want to reconfirm what happens. I'll probably stay awake and wait for the trial license to expire and avoid any downtime.
  17. For a small scale business as a start, WHMCS' built-in support system is sufficient enough, no?
  18. Hi, my trial license is up to today 25th August and I would like to know what is going to happen tomorrow? Will WHMCS be not usable until I purchase a full license? Thanks in advance! Got to be prepared to not have any downtime.
  19. Hi, Upon checking out, customers can choose to leave order notes/additional information, however I can't seem to find where can I view the notes if a customer inputs it. Might have overlooked so would appreciate if someone can enlighten me on this. Thanks!
  20. Hi, my provider confirmed that port 43 is not blocked inbound and outbound. If it is blocked for abusing WHOIS servers, will they release certain time to be able to check? What I observed which 99% happens is this, from afternoon until midnight, the problem definitely happens. About 1am, every works fine again until about 2-3pm in the afternoon. The cycle goes this way.
  21. Hi, I need some advises from all of you while waiting for my hosting provider to get back to me. My WHMCS can hardly check for domain availability since few days back. It always returns as unavailable although it is available and sometimes it returns with a message "There was an error in your request". According to the WHMCS documentation, if such error occurs, it means that port 43 is blocked preventing it from doing a lookup. However, everything was perfectly fine when I first had it so I don't think so there's a firewall blocking it (not unless my provider just recently decided to block it). Also, could the IP of the server that I'm on be banned, what are the chances? Weird thing is, once in a blue moon, the domain checker works perfectly but most of the time it just shows unavailable or there's an error. I'm on my provider's reseller plan. Is there any way I can check if port 43 is blocked on my side? I'm waiting for my provider's feedback but they are taking quite long to get back to me. So any suggestions/recommendations is very much appreciated here.
