Try to run the cron.php manually and see if it completes. Take into account how long it takes to complete. It also can mean that the remote server it was trying to connect to just added that much more time to the script and caused issues.

Im working to start up a full fledged hosting company with shared hosting, dedicated hosting, and VPS. I seem to have an issue on which VPS to use. I see their are 4-5 that can be used with WH<CS and i would like to stick with those. Which one is both easy to setup and has very few bugs.
