New orders forwarded to domain check instead of payment process.
cix7medi replied to cix7medi's topic in Using WHMCS
Never mind. I changed settings to display an invoice to solve the problem. -
Hi, all. I recently found that for some reason when a customers select option 3 (updating nameservers on current registrar) that they are forwarded back to the domain checker instead of on to Paypal as they should be forwarded. Please have a look here and give me any feedback as to what could be causing the issue: https://www.homesitesource.com/clients/cart.php?a=add&pid=10 Any ideas? Thank you. Moni

Joomla & WHMCS integration example on my site
cix7medi replied to cix7medi's topic in Showcase Your Site
Spionred: I'm not using a wrapper. This is basic html loaded into a module position. The results are loaded into WHMCS (which has the same header and footer as the Joomla side). If you simply need to domain search box to use from your Joomla site you can generate the code from your WHMCS admin panel and then edit it to look like your Joomla site. rasta: I actually worked my way from the Joomla source. I deleted everything from the "body" then painstakingly replaced all the necessary code (including css files and images) on my WHMCS page. There is a Joomla component out that does this too but I cannot tell you how well it works as I have never used it. whatcomweb: I believe you should be able to achieve identical results with Wordpress or any other CMS as long as you're willing to work your way through the code. -
What features do you need in a tiered affiliate system/program?

Please disregard this thread. The people who originally asked me to get this feature added have gone MIA so I have canceled the work order with the programmer. -

You were supposed to respond with something smart and sarcastic so we could have a good internet fight before the weekend. -

redrat: I completely agree on the table borders issue. I don't like the either. I'll update that shortly. -
Instructions: Easily adding WHMCS to Joomla

redrat: Actually, if you read THIS thread again (slowly) you'll see that I am talking about something different from the other thread. As stated at the beginning of THIS thread notice: "I did this integration the HARD way. Have a look:" and... "involved recreating the header and foot(er) from Joomla and adding that to WHMCS. It was a real headache." Got it? Ok. That means what I did to get my site like that was NOT the same method I refer to in THIS thread. In the previous thread I was simply showcasing my site. In THIS thread I am telling the reader he/she can do a similar job much more easily than I did. Yes, both threads refer to incorporating WHMCS into Joomla but, while the previous thread was posted in 'WHMCS Showcase' forum (to do just that - SHOWCASE THE SITE), only THIS thread (in Customisation and Integration Questions) offers details on how to achieve this task (again, through a means different from how I did it). Yes, I realize I did not post a question but obviously other forum members might benefit from answers given. -
Instructions: Easily adding WHMCS to Joomla

spidersweb's is right. Because you are using a wrapper you may have issues with payment gateways even if you use enable the ssl option for the wrapper links. -
I did this integration the HARD way. Have a look: http://www.homesitesource.com/ It involved recreating the header and foot from Joomla and adding that to WHMCS. It was a real headache. But, there is hope! If you are using one of the latest versions of Joomla then the wrapper should actually work with auto height enabled (as long as your WHMCS installation resides on the same server as your Joomla installation. *The wrapper component often did not work properly with older versions. Simply remove the header and footer from WHMCS then add links to WHMCS through Joomla's wrapper component. Be sure you use RELATIVE links to WHMCS instead of the full lengths (in the wrapper URL box). And under 'Parameters Advance] be sure both 'Auto Height' and 'Auto Add' are set to 'yes'. I can explain more clearly later. Good luck!

Joomla & WHMCS integration example on my site

Great suggestion! I had neglected to add live help because I know it will be quite some time before I can actually provide that 24/7. I may do as many other hosts and have the button but only have it show "available" when I can actually provide it. Thanks for the reply. -
What features do you need in a tiered affiliate system/program?

Feel free to post anything in reference to the affiliate system. I'm trying to get ideas from others before I write our a work order so you might mention something I hadn't thought of already. -

Ok. That seems pretty simple. With that said, do you think 2 levels will be effective enough to grow a decent program? -
Work will begin in December on a tiered affiliate system for WHMCS but before I write out a work order I wanted to get some input from other users. At this point, I am only interested in developing a 2-level tier but if enough people believe more levels are necessary then I will consider investing in development of such a system. What features would you like to see in a tiered affiliate system (where any affiliate who refers a new affiliate to signup get a percentage of sales generated by those referral affiliates)? Thanks for all input. -Moni

I have looked through the forums and could not find anything on this so if I missed it please post a link to a previous thread on the subject. Once the 'order' button is pressed, the customer is forwarded to the product add page where the link looks something like: https://www.DOMAIN_NAME.com/WHMCS_PATH/cart.php?a=add&pid=1 I noticed that the product description appears nowhere on this page so if customers had accidentally pressed the wrong order button/link then from this page there would be no way they would know what they were ordering. Anyone have the solution already typed out anywhere? If not, I'll get to looking over the code in the templates to see what I can find. BTW, I am aware that the product name appears later in the order process. I just feel it might help to display it during the initial (1st and 2nd, at least) steps as well. Thanks!

Joomla & WHMCS integration example on my site
cix7medi replied to cix7medi's topic in Showcase Your Site
I sell hosting for what I am interested to deal with as a reseller. Some visitors are interested in services I do not provide so I show HG ads as well. I still get an affiliate commission from HG if a sale is generated from my site. It's like if I were a care dealership that only sold compact cars. I could still advertise for another dealership that sold SUVs and Trucks and possibly get a referral fee from the sales the other dealership secure. But, I can also see the potential for losing long term clients to HG so I may remove the banners at some point in the future. 11:55 PM - You know, you guys are right. I'm removing them now. Thanks for the input! -
Here is my example of WHMCS integrated with Joomla. It's not perfect but it's close. Feel free to comment as well as post links to your own sites where you have done the same. I'm not as sensitive as some other forum members and won't take your posts as a "hijack". Hopefully, none of your posts will be deleted (as mine were in another thread). Thanks for your time. http://www.HomeSiteSource.com
