i got around this problem by turning off the 'automatic renewal if domain registar is support' under the configuration -> domains.
-
if i do this via the admin for the client - will this change the amount owing on the invoice, and take what ever money is left over and apply it to the next bill?
-
hi guys, currently i'm receiving emails for support@hostingcompany, and they are being PIPED via cpanel email forward pop to WHMCS alright. except when i they address it to support@hostingcompany, john@hostingcompany the PIPE isn't working, and nothing is appearing in support. what can i do to fix this?

okay, when it's in pending or active status, it's still sending off to the registrar. i've had to put my registrar into test mode so it won't keep using up the money on our account. please someone explain the domain status to me ^__^ (i've already manually renewed the domain - i don't want the system to renew the domains again once their invoices have been paid!)
-
hey - i've added my client's domains to whmcs. i have already paid for the renewal. i have also created the invoice for them to pay for the domain renewal. what do i do with the domain's status? i've set the expiry date and next due date to: 2009/09/01 and do i set the status to 'pending' if i want the system to accept his money via payment of invoice, but not to send the domain to be renewed in the registrar? domain = active, invoice = still due. ---- money paid, system sends off for renewal again? domain = pending, invoice = still due. --- money paid, system does nothing is that correct?

emails sent twice to customers with 2 products when massmail

yeah, a simple solution to add a "multiple hostings per client, one email" select box -
Domain renewal prices did not change with price hike in config
delator replied to Francisco's topic in Using WHMCS
feature request - after a domain price has been changed, have a page with all the domain names in a list, client name, current renew price and the updated renew price, and a select box to choose which to update DOMAIN NAME | CLIENT NAME | CUR RENEW $ | UPDATE RENEW $ | UPDATE? jojo.com | john smith | $39.95 | 35.95 | [ ] etc etc -
great - at least i know i'm not alone with weird problems. hopefully more people read this thread, and we can figure out some solutions

hey guys, i've been having some problems with the intelligent search, i've opened a ticket with matt, but it's working fine for him - the occurrence is quite weird. i'm hoping to see if anyone else has noticed the problem, and anyone has any steps i could take to debug. it was working last week (i'm a new customer, and i'm manually adding my old customers into this new system.) my machine is a Mac running MACOS 10.5 with firefox 3.0.3 log in to the whmcs admin, and i search for a client name: nothing happens. the search window doesn't extend, nothing. if i get on my other laptop (running windows XP with firefox 2 or 3) search for a client name: nothing happens. if i open up safari on my mac and search for a client: it works like it should. if i get on to another laptop - my room mate (running windows XP with firefox 2) search for a client name: nothing happens. i asked matt via a ticket, and he says my whmcs is working fine when he logs in to it. i've done a few things to try and debug, but i'm not going to say as i'd like to know what people suggest first. FYI: i have the web developer toolbar addon for firefox (so i can perform an array of tasks) HELP would be GREAT - i really miss the intelligent search.

just so you know - i've read that with registering and renewing a domain, registrars will give you a 5 day return warranty - i.e. if you purchase a domain and you realise you miss-spelt it, or renewed it too many times, the registrar will refund your money. i haven't tried it myself, only read about it.

i've set up an account on my whmcs for a client with johnstevens+hosting@gmail.com a quick background: johnstevens@gmail.com - email address +anything - filter / folder name so he's got +hosting to let all our emails go into one folder. the admin side accepted it. and the client login works fine. but i try to 'log in as client' and i get rejected. so i'm guessing it's the + sign causing the damage. thanks!

hi, i want to change the wording used in the invoices - where do i go about that? i want to change the domain description to be: {$domainname} - {$type} - {$years} starting {$date}.
-
mate, you have no idea what i'm on about. - leave clients choose gateway - that's all good. - allowing the admin to set the default gateway on an invoice - is a stupid option - UNLESS the standard option on the invoice option is a BLANK option, not currently set to paypal, as it is for me. .... this is what *can* confuse some of my clients - they aren't nerds, they are "mom & pop" business owners who have a website - everything needs to be in simple terms, and for the WHMCS invoice to be randomly set to a gateway payment *can* confuse. i would like there to be a default to BLANK, so if you have 2 gateways activated, bank payment, and paypal payment - THEN there are 3 options in the drop down: " " - default, and selectable for admin | and visible but not selectable for client. "bank transfer" "paypal" clearer?

i am having the same problem - i need to run my email through SMTP, and checkout is blank. - a=checkout is blank ONLY when the customer is new. - when they are signed in, orders through checkout are fine. - sending mail through admin to clients is fine - SMTP works. - even though checkout is blank, emails are being sent off to customers and admin email. - invoices are also being created - just the checkout page isn't giving any errors - i have turned on errors in config - but doesn't display anything. HELP?

is it possible to generate invoices without emailing the client?
-
no, you didn't understand - it would lock the payment method on the CLIENT, so the ADMIN can set the invoice to be only paid via a certain gateway. it's not an option i want - i'm just wondering why the payment method is there to begin with... ... and if it's going to stay there, at least give a blank option as default - i don't want to confuse my clients in thinking they have to pay with the first option shown on the invoice. anyways, "payment method" under options - should default to an empty option. "no gateway" sounds like you are giving them no options on the invoice. just bad english.
-
what is the point of the "payment method" on creating an invoice from within the admin? actually - maybe people want to make it so payments are specifically put through paypal for a certain invoice, so please change it to look like: payment method: [first option is empty] [tick box to lock dropdown option to the invoice] label it "lock payment method to invoice". otherwise if people don't want to lock it on - please get simply add an empty line to the drop down menu, or at least tell me how to add it default in my template. Thanks guys.
