Better Intro:
In 2003 a web hosting company landed in my lap (don't ask 🙄). It had zero infrastructure, literally zero, not even a spreadsheet with domain expiry dates. The only thing I had was customers, with domains, websites and email account screaming down the phone for support. I had to very quickly work out a way of running this company on a shoestring, so I set about writing my own management system for keeping track of services, subscriptions, domains, payments and invoices. I wrote this in MS Access, SQL server and VB 🙂 mainly for speed. Company TecknaOnline.com has been running since that time on that system that I wrote, and now it's kind of creaking at the seams on its old and outdated technology. It needs replacing and updating, so I am again faced with the task of providing the infrastructure and backend of this webhosting company. Once a developer, always a developer. My main job otherwise these days is in digital marketing and ecommerce, and I'd like to get back to that as quickly as possible. Looking forward to meeting you all 🙂
