Screwy characters across the top of my site

I'm uncertain how you could figure that out, but I am extremely grateful. I removed all the Visual Source Safe files, which FTP put over. Thanks a mint. -
I just upgraded from 4.1.1 to 4.2.1 and my site has junk characters across the top of every page. This is ruining my template as well. WHMCS does seem to work, however. Any ideas what's wrong? The characters are also in the admin section. Thanks, Nina Macdonald http://pixelloom.net/index.php
