  1. Since we can now setup our customers on their own Reseller Club accounts, I am looking at how to integrate with WHMCS. Assume for the moment that a customer registers a domain and purchases DNS Management and Email Forwarding through the WHMCS control panel. What happens if the customer uses the DirectI control panel to change nameservers, to add email forwarders, add or modify DNS records, etc. - Will those be picked up correctly by WHMCS? In other words, can the customer use the DirectI control panel for management functions without screwing up WHMCS? Let me re-iterate that I am only talking about the management functions and am making the assumption that the domains and added features were purchased through WHMCS.
  2. OK, that's what I figured. But, now - how do we move existing customers from our "global" DirectI account to the "individual" ResellerClub accounts?
  3. If I move the dns management into the customer's Reseller Club account from my global DirectI account and then do the transfer directly from within the customer's Reseller Club account, will WHMCS pick it up properly?
  4. Here's an interesting situation. A domain was registered at Tucows. Nameservers are delegated to Reseller Club because the domain is using dns management. Now, the customer wants to transfer the domain to Reseller Club. The error is: Domain Registration Error - The domain jeffpointhouse.com already exists in our database. This may occur if there is a pending Order for jeffpointhouse.com in our database under your account or any other account. You may search for this domain within your control panel. If you do not find this domain within your profile please contact our Support Department NOW: It seems to me that this should be sufficiently rare that it probably isn't worth coding for it. (It seems like you ought to be able to add features to a domain already registered at Reseller Club, but that the situation where the domain is using Reseller Club dns management (or whatever) but the domain is not registered at Reseller Club would be a rather rare occurance.) HOWEVER: I'm not sure how to fix it, get the domain transfered, and have WHMCS recognize it properly??? AN ADDITIONAL COMPLICATION: The dns management is in my "global" DirectI account, not in the customer's individual ResellerClub accout.
  5. I want to move existing customers from the DirectI module to the Reseller Club module so that they will have their own domain account. How do I do that? ALSO: If the customer goes directly to the Reseller Club site, purchases another domain, renews their domain or adds funds to their account, will WHMCS recognize that? Basically, I'm wondering about how to manage the Reseller Club accounts through WHMCS when the customer uses the Reseller Club interface. To put it another way: What can the customer do through the Reseller Club account that will be picked up by WHMCS? What can the customer do through the Reseller Club acount that will not be picked up by WHMCS? Do we need to turn off the email notifications in Reseller Club so that the customer only receives notifications from WHMCS? What can the customer do through the Reseller Club account that could mess up WHMCS? My thought is that we want the customer working directly through WHMCS, but that they may need access to the Reseller Club account to set domain forwarding, etc. - Or, if they want DNS Management or email forwarding. What happens if the customer goes into their reseller club account and makes their domain registration private? Will WHMCS still recognize the domain as part of that customer's WHMCS account? IT MAY BE that we would want the customer to use WHMCS only, but that we would use the Reseller Club interface to setup email forwarding or private registration for them. I'd be most appreciative if anyone posted any other consdierations in addition to those mentioned above.
  6. Does anyone have any data on whether using multiple processors such as Google Checkout and PayPal, etc. in addition to a standard gateway like CDG or Authorize.net causes more sales to be completed? I'm asking because the transaction fees and discount rates are typically based on how much money you process through the processor - the higher the volume, the lower the rate. So, if using multiple payment processors doesn't result in more sales completed, seems to me you would want to stick with one processor. Geoff
  7. Let me clarify. I can see how what I wrote would be confusing. I mean recurring billing to be WHMCS running the charges on a schedule - not the processor providing recurring billing. This requires a merchant account that will allow you to run charges without a CVV or a card swipe. I've seen comments about which processors give you a hard-time with allowing no CVV / no Card Swipe transactions or requiring a large reserve to allow charges without the CVV. So, my real questions are: 1. Which of the processors will authorize non-CVV transactions without a large reserve? 2. Of those, do any of them work better or worse with WHMCS. Geoff
  8. We are looking at changing credit card processors. WHMCS supports a large number of credit card processors. Has anyone seen a matrix that shows which processors support which WHMCS features? More specifically, I am interested in knowing: Which processors support recurring transactions? Which one's provide ease of use and transparency for my customers using WHMCS? Which one's are not overly restrictive in which transactions they approve? Which one's work well in WHMCS? Which one's are heavily used by WHMCS customers?** **The last one is important because the more popular the processor is with WHMCS customers, the more attention will be paid to developing and maintaining it! Geoff
  9. Here's a perfect example: WHMcs works beautifully with our spam filtering service. Auracle trashed the emails delivered through the filtering service. Also, Auracle doesn't support html email because Alex doesn't think that is should. Since the spam filtering service is our product, we use it ourselves to advertise the product. No software or email client of which we are aware doesn't handle the email coming from the filtering service except for Auracle.
  10. I started out with Whoiscart, bought Auracle, and own multiple licenses of each which we are no longer using. Bleeding edge is like walking on razor blades - you constantly get cut up. I cannot tell you how many times we had to re-theme Auracle, because it had been changed again. Also, there were several occasions where Auracle stopped working because the requirements had been once again upgraded,. The hassles wore us out and we won't go back. Our business was hurt greatly by trying to make Auracle work and having to constantly re-do it.
