Domain renewed with Registrar not syncing

I have a domain that I renewed with the registrar outside of WHMCS. Since WHMCS didn't see it renewed, the client was flagged as inactive, and the status as grace period expired. I have tried several ways to see if I can get it to sync, marked the client active, marked the domain as pending, marked the invoice as paid, but it is still not syncing. What do I need to set to get it to sync again? Thanks for any input.
