  1. Adam ... I went through your steps again and it worked!!!!! I don't know if it is working or is the latest version but at least my clients don't get an error. I will have to look at it more closely tomorrow. Thanks again ... i would like to shoot you a few bucks for your help. I will contact you through your site.
  2. Hello Adam, Thanks or your suggestions. I did everything up until the 'if not then ..." but its still down. I may just put up an under construction page until tomorrow when i can re-assess my situation ... it is so late i am starting to melt Thanks again for your help ... hope i don't seem unappreciative for not PMing you but i am disappointed with the situation now and have to sleep. Maybe i wll talk to you tomorrow. thanks.
  3. PHP has been recompiled .... the install has been left at the point where i get this error: The file /home/**mydomainname.com**/public_html/members/includes/invoicefunctions.php cannot be decoded by this version of the ionCube Loader. If you are the administrator of this site then please install the latest version of the ionCube Loader. I have put in tickets but get no response. I tried downloading/unzipping/uploading ionCube from version 3 but it still gives that error. I probably should just wait for matt since i paid for the upgrade and he started it. I really like WHMCS but it is the first script of this sort that i have used so i have nothing to compare it to. I hope i can find a US/Canada based company to support this script. It is disappointing to start over with other software.
  4. I did ... i paid for the upgrade a fewf days ago it started today but he got half way through and php needed curl for the license i got my admin people to update it but then it just left an upgrade now button .... for everyone now it just gives an error ... i have put in tickets .... i am going to just try to fix it myself but this is why i need a 3rd party company
  5. The reason i need it is i have no time to upgrade or fix whmcs. Any amount of time spent on it is a GIGANTIC waste of money for me. I am so far behind and people are begging for my time ... price no object. But instead i am wasting time and down half way through and upgrade. I just want it to work. i really don't care how much it costs. That's why i want a hosted solution that just always has the latest stable, fixes, etc. It costs WAY more to be down or to waste time with this stuff than to have it hosted.
  6. Are there any 3rd party support companies or hosted solutions for this software? I tried a search under 'hosted' and 'solution' and wow, those words are used alot lol.
  7. Yes ... i have been watching the v3 bug reports and they have been very few. Many are more configuration questions than bugs. I am just waiting for an upgrade now.
  8. Hmmm ... no replies to the sharing thing .... lol Are there any companies that write custom reports, modules, etc., that they sell?
  9. New version ? How long did i sleep .... wasn't 3.0 just released a couple weeks ago? I was still waiting for bugs to be worked out of 3.0 before upgrading lol.
  10. Hi Patty, For your mirror setup, you may want to look at dnsmadeeasy.com because they have automatic failover. That is to say, when your site becomes inaccessible, it points it to the new ip and monitors the old ip until it is accessible again ... then points it back. The mail is queued so it doesn't go to the mirror. You can use Rsync to mirror the site if it changes often albeit, you may want to really think through your whmcs mirror. I would just put a notice on the mirror for your whmcs folder. Just put something like "the system is currently being updated". The reason I say this, is because you probably don't want someone signing up on the mirror (because the account won't be there when it switches back). I use failover for myself and for certain clients. I don't have the whmcs mirrored though. The failover barely ever comes into play, but it is nice when it does. Off server backups/dns are great when you have to do an emergency move too. Hope this helps.
  11. I might just stick with directi ... i have only did new registrations so i have to use them for some transfers, etc., and make sure they are good. Since i signed up for directi through whmcs, they must get some small amount. Given the high level of support by whmcs/matt, any way they can get more money is good to me. Consider this: matt answered my question on how to use enom, even though i said in my post that i was using directi through whmcs temporarily. He didn't hesitate to give an answer that could lead to me using another registrar (not signed up through him). He didn't try to 'push' any certain registrar. That shows integrity; something that can be hard to find ;-) The whole WHMCS experience has been very good so far! BTW - bedot, when i read through your posts, i can see you freely help many people -- thanks for the contributions.
  12. Hello bedot, I don't know why i would prefer enom ... I am totally new to all of this stuff. I used to do everything by hand. All setups, domain registrations, billing ... everything! lol I currently have a godaddy reseller account where I did registrations by hand (quite a bit of a hassle compared to automated lol) I heard Enom was good so I intended on going with them. Since I wasn't getting any response, I thought I would try directi through WHMCS. It seems quite good. I have only done about 20 domains through them but I may just keep using directi. Which domain registrars do you use, bedot? Do you use both directi and enom? Thanks
  13. Thanks for the quick replies - I figured it was something like that but I am new to this type of thing so I didn't even realize I had to contact Enom with an IP. I had/have communication problems with the place where i signed up for Enom (didn't get any welcome email or anything ... no response to my 'upgrade to reseller request', etc.) They did reply to one email and said they would resend the welcome email but it never arrived. On the contrary, when I signed up with directi through WHMCS it was easy. Very thorough welcome emails, quick response to my only question and worked on the first try. I have put about 20 domains through directi in the last couple weeks while I am still trying to contact my enom reseller lol. Thanks again for the answer.
  14. Hello, When I try to register a domain through enom, it returns the following error: Invalid client IP xx.xxx.xxxx The ip number it gives is the ip number of my server (but not the ip of the domain that houses whmcs). That is to say, the domain with whmcs has a dedicated IP but not the one that is being rejected (the 'invalid' ip is the one for the machine -- no domains on that ip). Note: this is the first try through enom after setting it up but it works for directi Anyone run into this type of thing? Thanks.
