Recently I met this error "Unexpected payment method value. Exiting." when tested custom gateway module for version 5.2.12. Then find this forum post http://forum.whmcs.com/showthread.php?76671-5-2-7-Unexpected-payment-method-value-Exiting and decided to upgrade to latest available WHMCS version 5.3.5 Error still persist and occur for new(not registered) customers. When potential customer order domain registration or transfer and checkout WHMCS bring blank screen with error "Unexpected payment method value. Exiting." instead of standard "Thank You" screen. Everything else is fine: invoice become paid, gateway log states payment went smooth with no errors.
I wonder if this is still a glitch in WHMCS and if there is some workaround or solution
