  1. We have a highly customized order form on our home page and wanted to be able to continue to do that. WHMCS's recommended coders said they can do it, but we were hoping someone could explain how so we could keep it in house and do development ourselves. Thanks anyway.
  2. Thanks again, but that only loads the Product Name, Description, and Price. The variables in our down menu decide price, and I'm not seeing a way to load that + the other sections of the order form that a buyer needs to fill out. I could post the order form code from one of the carts, if you still aren't following what I mean.
  3. Yes, that doesn't do what I asked. It doesn't give us the buy form code, just a link. We want to take the actual code that loads the product, variables, prices, etc from the data base and then we can modify it to look with CSS on the pages we want to place it on, then after the buyer fills it out and clicks through, it takes the buyer to the cart with the product in it. If we are missing something, please explain how the "links" tab accomplishes this. Edit: Although E-Junkie, X-Cart, and Paypal buy form code doesn't actually load from the database, it already has all the variables, etc in the code. That's more what we are looking for and we're told it can be done, but not how.
  4. Hello, What I mean is, carts like E-Junkie and X-cart, generate the buy form code for a product so you can posted it on a page and customize it to how you want it to look. You can also do this with Paypal. We want to do this with WHMCS, but since some files are encoded and support refuses to share any of the code with us, our coder can't figure out how to do it. Does anyone know the coding on how? Or have sample code of a product with variables that may shed some light on how it is done? We've been told it can be done, but not given any hints on how. It's really frustrating since this is such a basic and great feature WHMCS is missing. Thanks.
  5. Thanks, and sorry, been getting really frustrated with what seems like a lack in the key features I thought WHMCS had and all support does is tell us to make a feature request, which seems useless since people have been asking for these fixes for 3 to 4 years on the forums. The refusal to let us have a non-encoded version of the cart.php makes it harder for us to fix things ourselves as well. What would the custom solution be? Currently, our coder was able to make group discount appear on our website and all the steps involved up to checkout, so clients actually see their discount while selecting products (unlike how it is currently programed). Would have rather had products assigned to client groups, which seems utterly silly WHMCS hadn't done this. That way I could set 0% affiliate confirmation on those products. Instead, we got the group discount workaround to work (which is less flexible on setting the pricing unfortunately for the group). Now.. I want affiliates to get credit for the clients they refer and the sales those clients continue to make, while being able to remove the connection between affiliates and clients who get added to the discount group. Suggestions on how to do that? Still think assigning products to groups would have been cleaner.. but not expecting that to ever happen. Our coder thinks he could have done it, but.. again the problem of WHMCS encoder their files so we can't fully customize the product we pay for. Sigh lol.
  6. Really? So how does it work? Affiliate refers client -> Client signs up and makes a purchase. When the client makes new purchases by coming directly to our site, does the affiliate get credit or no? We have clients who will be joining a user group and getting discounts, so we can't offer sales from them to affiliates. We need a way to make sure those clients aren't counted as affiliate sales. Reversely, we want affiliates who refer clients who continue to purchase to get credit for it. We also want to be able to assign a client who for whatever reason doesn't get registered to an affiliate, to be under that affiliate. Can't be done? Is the affiliate system still in "beta" like group discount / group system? Thanks.
  7. Hello, I could be missing it, but I'm not seeing a way to assign a client to be under another client as their affiliate. I'm also not seeing how to do the reverse, remove a client from being under another client as their affiliate. Where is this in the admin c-panel? Thanks.
  8. That helped. I've read complete Debug Console like you suggested, I'm now searching for a variable that says if the product is hidden or not. My main goal is to show list of products that are only available for a certain group. For now, I've managed to show content to certain group, now I'm trying to figure out how can I list such hidden products in the code that appear only to the group I want it to appear. If there's no such variable I'll have to link products separately for such group, unless you guys have a better idea? Thanks a lot.
  9. A follow up: Is there a variable to check for specific group id, for instance something like this: {if $groupid==2} SOME CONTENT TO SHOW UP {else} You don't have permissions. {/if} I'm aware that for each group there is a separate ID, I just have no idea how to reach it because I can't find anything regarding it in documentation. I tried finding code where it checked for group IDs for discounts but couldn't find anything. I would appreciate any help on this one.
  10. We want to make some pages available only to certain client groups. Is there an add-on or way to code it so certain client groups can be given access to a page, while others can't? Google found nothing on this, thanks.
  11. Found a work around.. I guess. Make Product Group, set to hidden. Leave the Products as visible, and we can direct link to each product. And now all we need to do is completely code an entirely new order page, with links to each product. Set up a forms for the different product groups and 23 different products. Then password protect the page, since only resellers would be allowed to go to it.. I don't see any way to make certain pages only available to certain client groups. Geez.. that's still very poor option. Someone has to have made an addon to fix this? This is so completely insane not to already be part of WHMCS it's makes zero sense.
  12. Okay.. So making a product group not visible so it won't show up on the order form, means you can't even direct link to it. Thought maybe that was a work around. Nope. Really open to suggestions here.
  13. Hello, So we've spent a lot of coding time getting WHMCS ready to launch on our site... and whoops, we just found out while testing how useless group discount is and you can't make group products. Our bad, but for a cart claiming to allow reselling, these are very basic things. Group Discount - Support was kind enough to tell us clients have no idea they have a discount until they reach the payment processor. If they have credits, they never see the discount (unless they check the invoice afterwards). This seems completely asinine. What good is the discount if it doesn't update all the prices and remains invisible to the client? Group Products (Groups that have their own products, I mean( - We saw this being talked about on the forums three years ago. Silly us thinking something that made too much sense to have, would still be left out. Has anyone created an add-on to fix this glaring oversight? WHMCS had seemed awesome.. but without these fixes, it's pretty much useless for anyone wanting to resell and offer resellers lower prices or discounts. Hoping we didn't just waste a lot of time and money? Thanks.
  14. Hello, We really love the Ajaxcart order form, minus the fact it doesn't let people look through products without adding them to the cart. Support said we could make a feature request to disable this, but obviously that won't help us any time soon and the cart doesn't provide a good buyer experience if a customer has to always empty it while browsing. Does anyone know how to change it so products will only be added to the cart after a customer clicks on the continue button? My coder thinks seeing the code on cart.php may also help, but so far support won't share that either. So any help here would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
