  1. Actually, I upgraded all by myself. It was a lot easier than I thought. Hehehe Thanks WHMCS for making it that easy.
  2. I know, I know. I'm really behind. I'm bad with making timely upgrades and then I'm all screwed up. I want to upgrade but I have no idea if I can go straight from 5.0.3 to 5.3.10. Which files should I download? Some direction would be very helpful.
  3. I'm not very good with keeping my WHMCS up to date as you can see from my subject I am running 4.1.2 and this weekend I was subject to over 20 attempts to login to my admin. I have notifications turned on so I got an email every time an attempt was made. As the emails poured in I remembered an email about a patch to the script so I assume it has something to do with that, maybe. I downloaded and installed the patch but in the process I noticed how out of date my version is. I wanted to download the files to upgrade but apparently my version is too old to do an incremental upgrade so what are my options here?

  5. It used to be once or twice a month I'd get a support ticket from a spambot but in the last two days my inbox has been flooded with spam. I have deleted over 150 emails today alone. I thought all the forms had some sort of captcha function but I just checked and they don't. I'm running version 4.1.2 Does the new version have captcha?

  7. I just tried sending a client an email from within WHCMS and when I hit send message the page just went to blank and nothing was sent. I am using Version: 4.1.2. I don't know what else to give you in order to troubleshoot. Unless it's just a matter of upgrading to the latest version.
  8. Well the phone call did the trick. Had payment within the hour after the phone call. Thanks again guys. Also @redrat thanks for the tip on the WHMCS invoicing settings.

  10. I have a client who has always been good in the past. Payment always on time but for some reason he has now gone past due for almost 60 days on 2 of his accounts and more than 30 on three others. I think I need to suspend him but I'm not sure if I should do more to get him to pay first. The system automatically sends out late notices plus I sent out a personal email notifying of the possibility of suspension but I did not get a response. Should I suspend the accounts? Should I wait till it's been exactly 60 days? I also noticed that WHMCS is not creating new invoices for each month on any of these accounts. For example 2 of the accounts where due on 3/8/09 and it billed that one but it did not bill for 4/8/09. Does WHMCS not bill until it has received payment for the previous invoice? Will it bill for the next one as soon as the original one is paid?

  12. Ok, but how would I go about setting up the payment? WHMCS or PayPal? Do I setup a new order in WHMCS or create an invoice in PayPal?

  14. What's the best course of action to get the invoices and system back to working the way they are supposed to? Should I cancel/delete his original order and start over?
  15. Yeah I still couldn't do it through the admin. I was able to by login in as the client and going to the hosting account and adding the addon through there then proceeded to the checkout page. On a side note: why is it that if a client is already logged in to their account they have to log in again when going through the checkout process?
  16. I think I understand but how do you ad an invoice gateway to an addon? I don't see it on the addon page.
  17. I added a bandwidth addon to a pre-existing hosting account and I can't find where to send the payment link. I see no email or anything that I can send the client so they pay for the addon. What am I doing wrong?
  18. I got the above error doing it through WHMCS. What do you mean either way will work? Am I doing ti wrong.

I just got this error while trying to transfer the domain: I want to transfer the domain to my enom account and at the same time associate the transfer on the WHMCS system and I figure this would be the easiest way. Am I wrong with this assesment or should I just do it directly through enom and forget about the WHMCS part of it.
  20. Straight from the readme file. I see nothing about not overwriting your existing config file. On the other hand it does say to overwrite any existing file. WHo's fault is it now?
  21. I just ran into the same problem. The instructions said to unzip and upload, so I did. It said nothing about the configuration file and now my old config is gone and my upgrade is fudged up. WHat's supposed to be in the config so I can fix this? Or what do I do know. I haven't over written the DB yet. Thank God. BTW, there was both a configuration.php and .php.new in the zipped folder. So that is a huge boo boo for us noobs.
  22. Which version of WHMCS are you guys talking about? I have yet to upgrade to the latest one. EDIT: Matt, I just saw what you spoke of. The Order Now link only comes up on an unregistered domain. I need to be able to setup transfers as well. The domain is already registered.
  23. Matt, How do I achieve what I'm asking in this post? Is there a form or a step by step system? Because the domain checker file is basically a whois it doesn't allow you to order or transfer.
  24. Re reading what I wrote I noticed that my question was not clear. What I meant that as well as the hosting orders is there also a page where only domains can be purchased? i.e. I need to transfer a customers domain to my enom account and still be associated with his VPS account so instead of ordering another hosting account I can just put in for a transfer using WHMCS. But I think PPH answered my question I'll look into it and see what happens. BTW what is that form or HTML that I can use? Cuz if I'm not mistaken the install folder is deleted after installation. Thanks guys.
  25. I know that you can order and transfer domains with WHMCS but only while ordering a hosting package, at least from what I've seen. Can we WHMCS as a stand alone registrar as well? I think I've seen a couple of people do it but I'm not sure?
