  1. Thanks for your reply, we have had some thoughts about how to do it using some existing database stuff we are already doing, I'll see how we go with that and try and let you know, perhaps it's something which may help others as well
  2. Hi All, I have done some searching but can't find any reference of anything that will do what we are looking for. We currently use WHMCS in our ISP and MSP environment and have done some customisation to get some things to work as desired, however one thing we struggle with is tracking services that we resell to customers from upstream suppliers such as DSL, Ethernet, etc, which we all bill through WHMCS. What we are looking for is some way of adding supplier provided services into WHMCS, just like a client product is added, perhaps showing the supplier details, service type and details, contract start date and term, and maybe a cost price, etc, The ultimate thing would then be to be able to link that service with a client so that we could run some sort of report which then shows any supplier services which weren't allocated to a client. Currently we audit supplier services manually and with so many it's becoming a tedious task, if there were some way to automatically see quickly if a service was allocated to a client that would save so much time. Has anybody heard of any way to achieve such functionality in WHMCS or point me to an Addon which may do this ? I have come across a couple which handle Expenses and supplier invoice tracking and stuff but we don't care about the money side of it, we just want to track supplier services that are purchased and then resold, currently spreadsheets are getting hard to handle especially with multiple staff trying to work on them Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks Paul
  3. Hi, I have searched for more information on this question but can't really find anything useful so thought I would ask here. We are using WHMCS at the moment and have engineers on the road doing IT work for customers. We need some way to use the iPhone app or Android app to be able to manage support requests, which is working fine, but also be able to bill for the support work once it's completed. Put simply the engineer needs to be able to reply to a ticket with what was done, then enter what he did as a billing entry or something, preferably with some hours in it, although this isn't critical, and then select the support ticket to be billed immediately on on the next invoice run for the customer. Is there any way we can get such functionality from a mobile device ? I know we can create an invoice and add items to that, but I don't want my engineers have access to create invoices, just to be able to manage their support requests. I would really appreciate any suggestion son how we could accomplish this with one of the mobile apps, trying to use the full web application on a mobile device is just too difficult when on the road, and the iWHMCS and aWHMCS are nice and quick and easy to use but lack any ability to bill for support tickets from what I can see. Thanks Paul
  4. Hi, we have been trialing WHMCS for a couple of months now using the month to month license but we are really struggling to try and get it to do what we want for order provisioning and tracking etc. We have a small ISP business where we provide wireless, ethernet, DSL, etc, not much web hosting, more communication services. When we get an order from a customer we want to enter it into a system from the paper based or emailed application form. Then we need to place an order with our carrier and add an order reference into our system so that we can track the order and update ETA's etc. Once the service has been provisioned by our carrier then there may be things we need to configure, for example radius setup, IP allocation, equipment configuration, etc, so we need to then update the order for those things. Once they are all done we then need to organise installation with the customer and book a time, then do the install and test the service if required, then the order will be deemed as complete, and it should then generate a recurring invoice into the billing system by using the data already in the order about contract length, customer, services, pricing, etc etc. I'm not sure if this is too much to expect, but really it's just a lifecycle of a typical order for an ISP I would have thought. We have tried using the order function of WHMCS with custom status's and custom fields to hold all of the information we need but when we have to repeat so many things for each product it is looking very difficult, plus we want to be able to email the customer to advise them of progress at most stages of the order lifecycle, but the order system provides limited features for template based emails using custom fields with a mix of data from differing areas required, and once you have created an order you can't even add another product or service to it which we find quite strange. Perhaps we aren't doing something right, or perhaps we are expecting too much, but I would appreciate any advice or suggestions on how we could achieve this result, and preferably with WHMCS and without spending thousands of dollars developing something, which frankly I could probably build myself. Regards Paul
  5. Hi, we are just starting to setup WHMCS for our ISP business and are trying to use the ordering system as a type of provisioning system to notify customers about the status of their orders. When we try and create an email template from the orders screen it does not give any mail merge fields relating to orders, only client details and other, so we can't add any merge fields into the email which actually relate to an order. Even when we place a new order and the order confirmation email is sent to the customer, it is missing the order ID and details fields which are supposed ot be in the standard order confirmation email template. Has anybody come across this issue before ? Is there something we are doing wrong or is it perhaps a bug ? All we want to be able to do is enter the order for the service the customer has ordered, have some custom fields to enter things line line numbers, DSL speeds, etc, etc, and then have a couple of status options so that we can then send a simple email to the customer when the status changes so they know what's happening with their orders. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Paul
  6. Hi Harry, we are just looking at WHMCS at the moment and are watching your plugin with interest. We would like to be able to pull CDR's from our MySQL database which is fed by our softswitch, and then invoice using WHMCS from those records. IF we can use something like your plugin and VoIPNow to do this we would change straight away as currently voice billing is a bit painful. Could you advise if you can handle the billing part of things as well ? and can you pull the data from an external MySQL database for that purpose ? Thanks Paul
