  1. Okay. Then how do I disable all emails from being sent out? --Mary
  2. When I follow the procedures for applying a payment - opening the invoice - selecting the payment tab - and applying the payment, the invoice then shows PAID. I email that invoice to the client. Then I go to the Transactions list. I do not see the paid invoice in the transaction list. Any ideas? --Mary
  3. I need some clarification here. When an invoice has been paid, I go to the invoice ahd enter the payment details. But when I go back to the transaction list I don't see the payment appear. When I enter a transaction, I see the payment. But I worry that somehow things are going to be doubly stated - one payment entered - one transaction entered. Can I get some clarification here? Thanks! --Mary
  4. I've just moved all the data for my clients into WHMCS. The start dates for the client's accounts are the date that I entered their information into the system. Now I need to invoice the clients. But I don't understand how to do this so that I can invoice them from a month or two prior to the date they were entered into the system. Also, when you respond to this will you give me the precise locations. I'm new to this systme and really don't understand the invoicing process and how it works. Thanks so much, --Mary
  5. Is there anyway that the emails generated from WHMCS can be approved before sending? I've just setup the system and received copies of two invoices emailed erroneously to the clients. Of course, WHMCS was working properly - but I didn't understand how to properly setup the system. I need to view and approve all messages being sent out from WHMCS - or disable ALL email being sent by WHMCS until I understand the system better. Thanks - --Mary
  6. I read a post somewhere on this forum that this user had a virus that infected his files but not his database. He backed up his database, reinstalled all of his files to the most recent version and was having problems. The response was that there may be a database incompatibility issue. I upgraded from 4.1.2 to 4.4.2, but didn't need to modify my database. Now I'm having functionality problems (the modify user profile information capability has disappeared). Could the database be the problem? Should I have deleted all of the records from the database before upgrading, then reloaded the database? --Mary
  7. John replied ... but the forum didn't get his reply -- so I thought I'd update the forum. The terms of service tick box being left unticked sent the appropriate error message to the browser on the order form for him. But for me it did not. Strangely enough, when I logged off for the evening and logged back on this morning the problem did not re-occur. I know this is helpful ... but resetting my browser took care of the problem. --Mary
  8. In the client portal, when an order is placed and the next step is to take you to the final order completion page (or payment portal), a blank page appears if the terms of service box is unchecked. I found an article about a blank page on checkout and it recommended I upgrade to 4.4.2 - which I did. Now, if I hit the browser "back" button and tick the I agree box for terms of service, the appropriate order complete page will appear. Is there some way to cause an error message, rather than just advancing to a non-descript blank page when you forget to tick terms of service ? --Mary
  9. The client portal seems to display properly ... but when I log in to WHMCS/admin area the left sidebar is about 2 inches displaced to the right, the tab area is gone, the labels in the tabs are up high and some are hidden behind the intelligent search option, and the main content you have to scroll down the page to find. Someone else posted they found a "width" setting in header.tpl - but when I searched my WHMCS files for header.tpl I found about 10 of them. Does anyone know the specific path for the file that controls the width setting? And - is there anyone who can tell me how to modify this for Safari? Thanks! Mary
  10. Let me correct my post: The display looks fine in Firefox -- but in Safari it's clearly a width setting which pushed the left sidepanel into the center, the tabs at the top up to the very top, and the intelligent search box overlays the otherwise tabbed menu items. It would be nice to find the exact file that controls this, and to hear what Safari requires to display this accurately. Thanks so much! --maryb
  11. This is like a cliff-hanger ... what was the width supposed to be set for, in header.tpl? --mary b.
