HOW TO: Auto-Generate an invoice for a domain moved to another client?
(iTD) replied to (iTD)'s topic in Using WHMCS
FIXED: I edited the database tables for tbinvoiceitems and tbinvoices and changed the userid (account number) from client #1 to client #2, and changed the status in the database from Cancelled to Unpaid. The invoice now appears in the right place and appears to be active in the system. -
I have two clients who used to be business partners, but are no longer. A domain for client #2 still resided in the account of client #1. Recently an invoice was sent to client #1 to renew this invoice. She requested that I have client #2 take care of it. So: * I setup a new account for client #2 and moved the domain into that account * I cancelled the invoice for client #1 * I went to client #2's Summary page and clicked "Generate Due Invoices", hoping that WHMCS would recognize that the domain was coming due and trigger an invoice. It did not. I need to generate an invoice that is linked to my ENOM account so that when client #2 pays, the domain is auto-renewed. How can I do this? Thanks!

Anyone using FastCharge Merchant Svcs w/Payment Gateway + WHMCS?
(iTD) replied to (iTD)'s topic in General Discussion
SOLVED: If this helps anyone - I just learned from FastCharge that their gateway is in WHMCS under "Merchant Partners". Problem solved. -
Greetings, I have been using WHMCS for a few years now (love it). I have a merchant account and I pay the separate monthly fees for Authorize.Net as the gateway. A client of mine uses FastCharge http://www.fastcharge.com, which supplies them with merchant services AND A FREE gateway that emulates Auth.Net. Their rates are reasonable and their gateway, as I mentioned, is FREE. Is anyone using WHMCS with FastCharge? If so, does it work well? I need to know if the two can work together. Generally FastCharge has you make a small modification to the payment gateway programming to change one line of code - to redirect from Auth.Net to FastCharge, but WHMCS files are Ioncube encoded so I may need to work through the developers for this change. I have successfully done this with a Joomla shopping cart, but don't know if it is possible with WHMCS to do the same thing. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you, --Kevin

Pre-sales Contact Us - CAPTCHA Not Working [Please Help!]
(iTD) replied to (iTD)'s topic in Troubleshooting Issues
Contacted WHMCS who suspects that our ioncube requires updating on the server. -
*BUMP* I have this same issue
-
I am running WHMCS 5.0.3 - using the Classic Theme. See: https://itechdevelopers.com/services/contact.php - notice the captcha at the bottom - there is no image showing. In Admin > Settings > General Settings > Security - I have: Captcha Form Protection: Off when logged in Captcha Type: reCAPTCHA (Google's reCAPTCHA system) ..and entered the proper private and public codes. It's not even attempting to show ReCaptcha ... just the stock WHMCS captcha. What am I missing here? Thanks in advance

I am running a Joomla 2.5 website plus WHMCS 5. I have seen many questions out here regarding what I am about to ask, but this is a slightly different issue that has not been addressed. Using the WHMCS "classic" template, I am making alterations to "header.tpl" by placing a javascript in the <head> section to check if WHMCS is in an iFrame. If not, then redirect users to the Joomla page that contains the iFrame with WHMCS inside of it. Simple enough. However, it does not appear that the script is executing. Is there a setting in WHMCS to allow javascript to run from a template? I tested this script in a plain HTML file and it worked perfectly. Here's the script that I placed in the <head> of header.tpl: <script type="text/javascript"> if (window == top) { var querystring = top.location.search.substring(1); // gets everything after the ? in the URL var newtop = "http://mysite.com/joomla-page"; // the site is not live and I don't want to post the url here. location.replace( newtop + "&" + querystring ); } </script> Any help would be appreciated. PLEASE - if you don't agree with the use of iFrames then please DO NOT comment on this post. I need help, not design opinions ...

Thanks . I ended up building some tables to make the emails look nicer and applied the css there instead. I will go and get rid of the *, to make sure the code stays clean.

I am running version 5.0.3. In Setup > Global Settings, under the Mail tab is: Global Email CSS Styling. I don't think I am using this correctly, as the resulting emails from my WHMCS do not contain the stylings I have entered there. All I want to do is change the font. Here's everything I have in that field: *, body, td { font-family: verdana; font-size:12px; font-weight: normal; } a { color: #0000ff; } When emails arrive, the font is a default Times New Roman, and not the Verdana I have showing above. What have I done wrong? Thanks, --Kevin

othellotech, I appreciate the humor and enthusiasm you put into your replies. I really do. What I was looking for was a simply yes or no answer to my first question (in bold in original post above). I am quite pleased that I learned about and activated a Maxmind account. I believe it will save me some serious dough. However, if you look at my original post and my first follow up post they both ask a very simple question. I am assuming that you can't do what I was asking, which is to place an entire new customer order, payment and processing, into queue for moderation. But you gotta admit that would be a good feature to have in the software. It's all good - and I do appreciate the time you've taken to help me out.

Got another fraud order last night - am looking at maxmind "right now" ... thanks!

Thanks for the response. So then can I assume by your response that there is no way to set new client first order payments to pending? All of the fraud protection options ultimately cost money. Charging and refunding a credit card costs money. I am seeking a solution that doesn't cost money. All I need is for the order or the payment to not process for new clients until it has been viewed by human eyes and authorized. If such an option is not available in WHMCS -- it should be .

Occasionally I receive fraudulent orders for domain names and hosting services from new clients. The following option has allowed me to prevent the processing of these orders and set them for review by a moderator/admin: Only Auto Provision for Existing [ ] Tick this box to always leave orders by new clients pending for manual review (no auto setup/registration) QUESTION: How can I set their payment to not process until I have verified the order? This morning I got a fraudulent order for a domain name. The domain order was set to pending, but my system went ahead and processed the payment through my Auth.net gateway. Now I have to refund the money and lose a little $$ in the process. Is there a way, for new clients only, to set first order payments to pending?

I am sure this is really simple (if possible), but I cannot find the answer out here. I have a customer who has several invoices coming due. They want a statement of all upcoming transactions. Currently I just told them to login where they can review their account. Is there a way to send a statement to a client for all upcoming invoices? Thanks. VERSION 5.0.3

I'll check that out - thanks!

I am running WHMCS 5.0.2. When I am in editing a hosting account under Products/Services there is the option to "auto recalculate on save", which updates the package price after making changes to the hosting account. Is there, for lack of a better word - an auditing option to run this feature across all products/services to ensure the proper prices is being charged for all services in the system? Thanks!

That sounds great John. If you wouldn't mind - please PM me your agent's info. Thanks --Kevin

Great info - thanks furrymitn

I've been using Auth.net for several years, but would like to save a few bucks. I see WHMCS has over 80 payment gateways integrated into version 5. Can anyone recommend a good gateway that might be less expensive than Authorize.net? I only take Visa and MC. Thanks in advance!

Found it: quotepdf.tpl

How to hide draft quotation from client's view until finished?
(iTD) replied to (iTD)'s topic in Developer Corner
Thanks John - that did the trick with a little tweaking - the IF statement needed to encompass more of the template for this to work: {if $quote.stage eq "Draft"} {else} <div class="quotecontainer" onclick="window.location='dl.php?type=q&id={$quote.id}'"> <div class="quoteid"> #{$quote.id} </div> <div class="quoteleft"> <div class="subject">{$quote.subject}</div> {$LANG.quotedatecreated}: {$quote.datecreated} {$LANG.quotevaliduntil}: {$quote.validuntil} </div> <div class="quoteright"> <div class="stage">[ {$quote.stage} ]</div> <a href="dl.php?type=q&id={$quote.id}"><img src="images/pdf.png" align="absmiddle" border="0" /> {$LANG.quotedownload}</a> </div> <div class="clear"></div> </div> {/if} -
Running the latest version - I need to edit the width of the columns on my default PDF Quotations. Right now there are these five columns: Qty, Description, Unit Price, Discount and Line Total. The problem is that the Description column is too narrow, and the Qty, Unit Price and Discount are too fat. Can someone direct me to the right file or setting to edit? Thanks.
