Email marketing software recommendations?

Like what others have said, I would definitely not even consider looking at any software except Interspire. http://www.interspire.com/emailmarketer/

Interspire is amazing. It does everything. It even embeds all the images in newsletters that you send to be part of the message that is sent (ie, it does not just link an image to an external website.)

Absolutely amazing. A must have.

also anyone know a email marketing company that will send a auto responder on X amount of days?

Have a look at http://automater.aweber.com/

When it comes to affordability and own design of their web-sites, there are others, like constant contact and mailchimp that are as low in price, BUT, and I think it's a big but: I once saw an Australian do a delivery check on the reliability of these three plus using his own IP as a sender, and he just got so much better deliverabililty using aweber (and for the first month using his own IP, too, but then it deteriorated).

I'm sorry I don't remember the exact link or the forum in which I saw it, I agree just "Australian" is not much of a reference :-)

I have used aweber for some time now, particularly since I also before I saw the comparison knew it for long has been well regarded by marketeers for its autoresponder deliverability, and I've only encountered a bug once (and then it was quickly fixed).

We use IEM 100% of the time, its the best we have found, and it has created a new revenue service for us also. It became so popular that we had to create a new website around it.... anyway if you want to go there the address is www big reply dot com http://www.BigReply.com

Interspire has really good software in a whit label package!!! I do not work for them of course, just like their software...

Has anybody integrated Campaign Monitor with WHMCS, not only on the front end, but also integrated it into the admin panel?

I wish WHMCS could be on this list!: Downloads, Plugins & Extensions: http://www.campaignmonitor.com/downloads/

Ok I just read through all pages of this thread so far... one thing is clear: don't do email marketing from your own server or local machine. This is common sense for most, but not everybody. So the best approach is using a hosted email marketing provider (ie. one that manages the mailings from their servers rather than yours).

Now, I've looked at most of the suggested email marketing services mentioned in this thread. The ones that are getting most of my attention are the hosted providers who offer the least expensive startup cost for a smaller outfit. The only one I came across that fits this criteria is Constant Contact @ $15/Month (up to 500 contacts) and sign-up.to (free for up to 50 contacts).

InterSpire and 1-2-All look like great products, but at $349 and $495 respectively they are a little pricey for a small company.

Are there any other hosted email marketing providers I might have missed which are on the economical side? ie. Under $200 for licence, or around $100/year ? I realize that even $100/yr will add up, but I am interested in the least startup cost to get going with a reasonably professional solution.

Thanks.

PS: http://www.yourmailinglistprovider.com/ provides a free service as well as cheap pricing plans, and is hosted. It seems to be more for mailing list/newsletter mailing and management, not so much marketing "campaigns" but it's worth a look.

Imagine owning a retail store? You would need inventory, rental space, etc... $100 is nothing in the grand scheme of things and $100/YEAR??? Let's say you make $250,000/year - that is only 0.0004% of your annual revenue. I'd say that affordable pricing for aquiring or retaining clients.
