Filling in bcc field in email template does nothing

Hi,

 

So, I'm trying to figure out a way of getting a notification when a customer places a new order as this function is not yet activated on the new Android WHMCS app. The next best way I thought would be to put an email address in the bbc field of the Order Confirmation field but no emails are sent to any email addresses in any template. Simply doesn't work.

[The email address I put in the 'from' field does show the customer the email address I wish them to see.]

Am I missing a trick here?

Are you seeing any errors in the System Activity Log @DV8

If you review one of the emails in the admin area that was said is it showing your email in the BCC?

as an admin, wouldn't you automatically receive the New Order Notification admin email anyway - assuming your admin role is configured to receive such emails and the template is not disabled ?

FWIW, I added a bcc address to the client order notification email template - I can see the address in the header when I look at the email in WHMCS, but I don't think it was actually sent to the bcc address... dev client received it, I received a copy to my address specified in setup ->general settings->mail-> bcc messages (that's the nuclear option for you if you need to receive copies of all emails sent to clients)... nothing in spam or quarantine, no errors in the logs. hey ho.
