Welcome to the August 2016 community wrapup this is a new post we'll be doing each month to help highlight some of the things happening on the community forums during the month. The wrap-up is a work in progress and we welcome your feedback either in a reply below or you can open a private thread in the Forum Assistance category

 

Taking a quick look at the stats for the month:

 

  • During August we saw 368 new members joining the WHMCS Community Forums which saw us clock over 65,000 registered members!
  • We had 302 new threads created during the month and 1,328 posts across the community making August the busiest posting month of 2016
  • August 3rd and August 9th where the busiest days in the community with 165 users logging in

Every month we'll hand pick a few posts to highlight in our monthly wrap up:

 

  1. Forum: Preview Release Discussion
    Many of our users will be aware that WHMCS v7 is currently in beta, we're all pretty excited by the feedback we're getting from the community if you've not had a chance to take a look at the V7 beta head on over to the forum and take a look
  2. Upgrade 6.0.0
    Arjanvr asks how to upgrade to the most recent release (6.3.1) and the community helps by providing help and guidance along with a few tips and tricks when the dreaded White
    Screen appeared during the upgrade.
  3. Action hook to send values to external page
    Frankc needed some assistance on showing certain data on an external page using hooks there the community had a few handy ideas for achieving the desired result which Frankc achieved with a bit of a workaround
  4. New TLD No Pricing Boxes Visiable
    3awh was experiencing issues with the pricing boxes not appearing on his installation when editing the domain pricing. The discussion touch on a number of possible issues this could have been including the solution which was mySQL Strict Mode being enabled.
  5. Currency Selector on header.tpl
    Thembi discusses how he would like the ability to display currencies in the selector when a user is logged in or out. There is a great discussion full of ideas of ways to achieve this.

 

That wraps up our community overview for August albeit a work in progress!

      And like that the second month of 2022 is done and dusted! Welcome to the February 2022 WHMCS.Community Wrapup! Our look back at the popular content on WHMCS.Community during February 2022
      February 2022 Community Statistics:
      We welcomed 978 new members, our community crafted 553 new topics and received 912 new replies across the course of the month.
      The February 2022 leaderboard:
      The leaderboard is an important part of our community, it helps highlight users that make notable contributions to the community along with notable content.  This month we're seeing a completely refreshed leaderboard!
      @yggdrasil sits in first place at 10 points.  Following in second place is @Bigol'tastynuggets with 7 points and @bear rounds out third place on 6 points.

      In Februarywe have released WHMCS 8.4.1 which contains bug fixes and usability improvements for the 8.4 release.
      WHMCS 8.4 features a new faster checkout experience for WordPress Hosting, access to SSL Certificate Site Seal Code within the WHMCS Client Area, the ability to create and manage Email Aliases with OpenXchange, improvements to the automatic updater and more.

      January 2022 Community Statistics:
      We welcomed 616 new members, our community crafted 224 new topics and received 676 new replies across the course of the month.

      Admin Stats for WHMCS v8

      As you probably know WHMCS v8 no longer provides statistics on top of the page about pending orders, overdue invoices and tickets awaiting reply. This action hook adds them back to interface as you can see from the following screenshot.


      This badge is fully responsive and appears if there's at least one pending order, overdue invoice or ticket awaiting reply. If there's nothing to show it disappears. To avoid any possibility of confusion, the hook automatically detects if you're running v8.

      WHMCS 7.10's headline new features are a new TLD Import & Pricing Sync utility and Cron Task Reporting that gives you greater insights into the automated actions and events performed by WHMCS.
