Changing cPanel username & Domain from end-user client area?

Recommended Posts

Is it possible to allow end user to change their own cpanel username or primary domain from WHMCS? Any addons?

I think that allowing them to change the username once the account has been already created, might be tricky but possible. You should play with cPanel API.

On the other hand if you want to let them specify their username, it's a lot easier since you can achive this directly with few lines of code and probably an action hook. Anyway in this case it's important that you "blacklist" already used usernames so that 2 clients can't choose the same username on the same server. If you don't want to blacklist them, you could simply add a prefix/suffix with an unique ID so for example let's say that I want "elvis" as username. Product ID on WHMCS is "12" so I'll get "elvis-12" as username. In this way a different user can request "elvis" too.
