  1. Hi all, Grizzlyware has just released Ranger for WHMCS, which will allow you to generate, manage and distribute license keys for software that you sell, via WHMCS. It's much like the WHMCS 'Licensing' module, however it has only just been released, so while it's fully functional and full featured, there is more to be added. We built Ranger to satisfy our own needs, it's open source and allows developers to license their software in the field. This is a WHMCS module which uses the Ranger framework. You can of course use the Ranger library on its own if you prefer. The module is bundled with email templates too. It's free - There is no charge for this module or the Ranger framework, all of the source code is available online as well as a packaged up WHMCS module. More information can be found here: https://www.grizzlyware.com/apps/whmcs/ranger/ We will have more WHMCS modules coming out in the not too distant future too. With that said, we just released 'Email Catcher' which scans your ticket replies for mismatched client email addresses (so you don't send an email address to the wrong client). Any questions or confusion, please give me a shout. Thank you, Josh

  3. At this point we would like to introduce our AV Contract module. The AV Contract Module (AV for the german "Auftragsdatenverarbeitung") offers you the opportunity to provide your customers with the Order Data Processing Contract, which since the GDPR is mandatory in many areas, directly via the customer area. Workflow with this module: The workflow with this module is simple. In the admin area you have the possibility to deposit your contract text in several languages. For this you have variables such as for the customer name, customer address etc. available. The customer can then go to the customer area on the module page and generate the contract as a PDF. Depending on how you want it, the contract with the PDF generation is immediately valid or the customer sends you the signed form per support ticket. In the admin area, you then have the option of confirming the receipt of the PDF and see which customer has generated a contract. Features: Order Data Processing Contract generation via the customer area Variables such as date, name and address are available for the contract text Editor for the formatting of the contract text Template System for Header / Footer of the PDF Overview of when which customer has generated the contract, with possibility to deposit the contract Option that the generation of the contract = contract is, if you want to work without a signature Both admin and customer can download the generated PDF at any time in their area Option to send emails when the receipt of the signed contract has been confirmed (email template customizable) Option that the admin will get an e-mail if the customer has deleted a contract (so that he can note this in his documents, for example) For WHMCS 7.2 – 7.5 For PHP 5.6 – 7.2 (need IonCube Loader 10.2) Interested? Then test the module with our free trial version. Details about the module can be found here:

  5. Hi I am wondering if anyone was able to install a cookies notification bar at the bottom (for example) to inform that users are supposed to accept our cookies policy. Apart from one commercial module that I found, is there any way to do this for free? Thank you.
  6. The more I read the less I think I understand about the requirements particular to hosting and IT providers. Do hosting providers running WHMCS need to register and [more than likely] pay ICO a data protection fee? From the checklist located here: https://ico.org.uk/for-organisations/resources-and-support/data-protection-self-assessment/controllers-checklist/ And here's the specific language: Aside from this, What we've done so far is to enable the opt-in/opt-out capabilities in WHMCS 7.5, and we're preparing to add a couple of items to our privacy policy and terms of service related to: The ability to opt-in and opt out of marketing emails at will, by the customer. The ability to have all user data deleted, as per the GDPR, with the proviso that such a request amounts to a request for immediate cancellation request of all services, due to the inability to connect to, or manage any services once the user account has been removed. Much of what appears to be required flies in the face of requirements elsewhere for us to retain data for the purposes of income taxes, receipts, invoices, etc. There's just no way to delete the majority of a customer's information without also removing the ability to comply with US tax codes pertaining to the retention of receipts and transactions which is required for documenting taxable income, deductions, etc. Does someone have just a few simple things we need, as a standard hosting company, to implement in this regard?
