The emails are working fine, admin accounts receive the new order confirmation but the customer doesn't. I have tried sending email campaigns but it's stuck in 'Queued'.

Hello fellow WHMCS community members and friends, i’m trying to add a new table section on my WHMCS templates specifically for Payment Details so that I can specify and outline the payment details / policy. So far I’ve been successful in creating a tabled version on the template that allows me to show three seperate Collins with three different sets of text relevant that I need to show. now I’m trying to add the payment summary/and payment terms/refund terms, however I can’t get the table settings correct. I’m hoping someone can provide an example? I require this to be seperate at the bottom of the invoice and not displayed as a “note” as I want to be able to style this accordingly as well. I know I can use the “notes” section on the invoice, however as I’ve said and specified this is not what I’m wanting to achieve. looking toward to what others have to say and there respective examples. Hi everyone, I have been searching for a solution and looking for an addon to track opened emails. We did use whmcstricks email status which worked well, but that has been discontinued. Does anyone know of an addon where we can track send emails? or do you have one we can buy? thanks. Sean.D

We recently integrated MailChimp. We exported an imported our clients to the audience list which went fine. Issues: 1. Can I export a list of users who have previously opted out - but only through WHMCS? Cause right now, even people who have previoilsly opted out via WHMCS, show as "subscribed" in mailchimp. 2. Also - POST integration with MC I am not seeing NEW users opt in / opt out changes reflected in MailChimp. Is there a delay in that communication? New users added to WHMCS show this on MC: This person is only eligible for transactional emails.

Hello, Best regard to all WHMCS user, I've been using WHMCS for a couple of week now at latest version (8.x) which is running fine and everything, now I've downgraded my version to the latest 7.10.3 (LTS version) because my main module (domain reseller) only support up to that version and at this version I've run into some problem that causing me to read through the official WHMCS documentation and self-help article which some result in no luck. Some of the persistent issue is: If there's new user register on our system, WHMCS won't send verification email even though email template is active with no problem. There's nothing logged on the email logs about that particular email (verification & welcome). Automatic update is error. FYI, I've downgraded all of the thing that needed to be downgraded (File version and MySQL query). Regard, Bayu -
Hey all I have a few clients who don't host either websites or email with me, just using my domain registration services and have me manage their DNS for them. Historically though, they have had one, or both, of their site/email with me, so I need to do some housekeeping! I found this post giving one example of how to manage these clients within WHMCS effectively, which would deal with onboarding a new 'DNS only' client and tidy up those existing clients. The post though is nearly 6 years old; has anyone else got any other ways to handle this scenario - which is creating a WHMCS account for a client who doesn't need web or email hosting, but their DNS records need to be managed. I have two accounts that don't have a credit card on file. (They were lost during a migration somehow). And I don't know what's causing those accounts to be delivered an email EVERY day that says "We tried to bill your card but you don't have one on file." What is the setting that's causing this? The only things I suspect are 2 settings in automation. 1. "Retry every week for..." was set to 0 (but I thought that meant disable not every day. 2. The "Send invoice payment reminder" for 2nd and 3rd were both set to 0 also. But those specifically say 0 to disable. I don't feel like either of those should behave that way though.

For all you WHMCS users out there, proudly releasing the initial version of "whmcs-inbound-piped" for free as open source software. So, there are basically two ways of injecting emails into the support-queue: via cron via pipe The cron method can be quite tricky at times, especially on large incoming mail volumes. A disadvantage is also that it will add quite some delay on every received email. However it has a huge advantage of working out-of-the-box with your current external email provider (e.g GMail) The pipe version will act instantly on every received email, but has the huge disadvantage that you need to run your own MTA (such as postfix) "locally" on the same server as where you are running WHMCS. Additionally, since you have to run the MTA locally, this means you either have to use a different subdomain for your support emails, or you have to also process all emails from the same domain as well. The current pipe implementation is mostly geared towards Postfix or similar. But running such a MTA is quite an effort. Especially in my case, Debian was overwriting /usr/sbin/sendmail, which I did not want as I am using nullmailer to improve performance of PHP scripts sending emails as it makes use of an async background worker (e.g. PHP is not blocking while sending an email). This is where whmcs-inbound-piped comes into play 😍 whmcs-inbound-piped will listen on port 25 but will only process receiving emails - it does not send emails (so you can keep your current sendmail setup). Any received email will asynchronously get piped into your pipe.php script where WHMCS will process in the background. To ensure that you do not need to worry about spam hitting your server-ip directly, you can specify (via environment variable "LISTEN_TO") an email address that the service will listen to. Any email not sent to that specific address (so make sure its random) will be dropped. Quick instructions Download a zip depending on your server operating system Unzip the binary into your /usr/local/bin Create a /etc/default/whmcs-inbound-piped - you can specify any environment variable in that file as you see here Add the unit file to your systemd You can view the logs via: $ sudo journalctl -fu whmcs-inbound-piped FAQ Can this work on multiple servers? Yes absolutely. You can create something like a "inbound.YOURCOMPANY.com" subdomain with multiple MX records pointing to each server that you want to act as a receiver. Will this work with Google Mail? Yes. You can create a group and subscribe your LISTEN_TO to it. Unfortunately any external email will have an ugly footer. At dd.vu I opted out of Google Mail completely in favor of IONOS Mail for this reason. Questions and Feedback Please post in this thread if you have any questions or comments 😅 -
I can't seem to find any instruction about when the various emails are sent to the customer. This would be helpful for all emails but specifically I'm wondering what the difference is between "Credit Card Payment Due" and "Credit Card Payment Pending." Does it really charge the card, send the Pending email, and then also send the Payment Confirmation email immediately after when the payment finishes? It seems like annoying overkill if they get the Pending email for every transaction, but if it only gets sent under an unusual condition then I'd like to know what that is. Thanks! -

I'm changing email accounts for our billing department created in WHMCS. Using an 0365 exchange account. Have entered username, pw, port, smtp server all correct. I can get tickets created, but replying to them in WHMCS - nothing comes out. Our support email is just fine. Same port/smtp server settings. What do I need to look for?

When a client changes their details the "user details change" email is sent. This email does not appear to use the headers and footers in the General Settings -> Mail tab. Can anyone please tell me how I can customize the headers for that email. Thanks

I've recently noticed that automated SMTP emails from WHMCS have been failing for the last few days due to an SSL problem. I've managed to get this fixed now and emails are sending fine again, However, there's quite a large number of emails that have failed and I can't see any way to either resend them or even to know which emails exactly failed. The email log only shows emails that have sent successfully. The only record I can see of the failed emails in is the System Activity Log, but this only shows lines like: Email Sending Failed - SMTP connect() failed. https://github.com/PHPMailer/PHPMailer/wiki/Troubleshooting (Subject: Customer Invoice) How can I tell what emails exactly have been missed out. Is there an easy way to resend them?
