  1. Is there a way (or an add-on) that allows our clients to send us SMS and those SMS will be converted as tickets? I tried looking in native WHMCS features and on Marketplace but cannot one.
  2. Ever since we upgraded WHMCS and the template, there were two months where we got 0 and 1 order which is very unusual for us. Also, I can see that since the upgrade, only 20% reached step 5. Prior to the upgrade, it averages 40% but I am still asking for more data from my team. It's just the low orders recently is alarming for us and there's no other major change we did than the WHMCS upgrade.
  3. I'll get more info from my team but ever since we upgraded WHMCS (and the template), what I can see is we normally get 3-5 orders. Immediately the next 3 months after the upgrade, we got one order, then five orders, and zero orders.

Hi All, I am not sure if we are the only one experiencing this, but ever since we upgrade to WHMCS 8.0 which also required us to update our template (six) to its latest version - our conversions (meaning successful new orders and clients) significantly dropped. The main difference between the previous six template is the additional step before the new client enters his personal and payment info. Before the WHMCS 8 and six template update, below are our order flow: 1. Products List or Store Page 2. Select Domain 3. Select Billing Cycle 4. Review & Checkout 5. Order Complete But with the new WHMCS 8 and six template update, the flow is now as follows (everything is the same except step 4): 1. Products List or Store Page 2. Select Domain 3. Select Billing Cycle 4a. Review 4b. Checkout 5. Order Complete So basically, on the new process, Step 4 has now been split in two steps for Review, and Checkout. Previously, this was only one page. Please see attached screenshots. Did any of you experienced the same drop of conversion when WHMCS 8 and the latest templates were updated? Also, is there a way to easily merge those 4a and 4b pages in one page and therefore a single stop? We think this is the one causing the drop of orders.   5. I really wish there is an API for this. We are using ENOM as registrant - anybody knows how to communicate with your registrant info from WHMSC via custom code for example?
  6. thanks for the suggestion. my problem with this is that this would mean creating a totally new domain order code logic to accommodate the requirement? is that correct. what I was expecting is just a hook that will just override some date in the default domain order process.
  7. Our customers are not like that. Believe me they would consider this as a favor. ­čÖé The idea is to get the domain verification email so we can verify it on their behalf. Just updating the technical info won't address that issue I believe. Also, we don't want our customers to receive these emails as it will likely just confuse them. Again, have faith on me on this - our customers would like this.
  8. thanks for your reply. the idea is we won't be updating the registrant data or email address to the customer's email, it will stay with our email address indefinitely or unless the customer specifically asks for it (which rarely happens to us). idea is we will be fully managing their domain, and we'll take care of the domain technicalities. but definitely we will not be holding their domain if they want to transfer. we will help them in the transfer process in fact, if they want to move. so this won't be an issue for the "double email confirmation request".
  9. That's okay, and I don't think our customer won't mind. We also have our own flexible process of transferring domains to another registrant, and we normally do it for them. It shouldn't be an issue.
  10. The reason why we want to update the WHOIS info upon domain registration is to send the contact info (email mainly) the first time it was submitted to the registrar (in our case, Enom). This is because we want to receive the domain verification info ourselves - so we can verify the domain on their behalf. I believe you are referring to the DomainUpdateWhoisInfo - but I don't think that will work since that is only for updating. At that point, the contact info has already been submitted, and domain verification email already initiated.
  11. We are using Authorize.net CIM as one of our payment gateways. What we want to do is be able to update the order information being sent to Authorize.Net, more specifically the "description" data. By default, the description data being sent to Authorize.Net just say "Goods or Services". We want to change that to add our own product code description. We are looking at "InvoicePaidPreEmail" but that only allows you to get the invoice ID, and update the invoice info, not the data being sent to Authorize.Net. Any suggestions guys? Thank you in advance!
  12. We just have a quick question for a possible custom development for WHMCS. When a user registers a domain via WHMCS, it uses the client information for the domain's registrant information (WHOIS). Is it possible we override those info with our own? More particularly for the email address? We are looking at the "PreDomainRegister" hook but can't find any sample codes on how to use it relating to what we need. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
