    • What we need from our V8.9 Beta Testers
We're excited to announce the beta release of WHMCS 8.9. Be among the first to try out the new features and functionality by getting involved in the beta today.

With this in mind we need your help! The aim with pre-releases is to have them used in as many different configurations and scenarios as possible. There are so many different ways to leverage the functionality available in WHMCS, and so many modules, customizations and add-ons, that nothing beats real-life testing and feedback. Ultimately this allows us to provide a level of Quality Control and Assurance that goes beyond what we can simulate in the lab, and benefits everyone.

And we don't just want to know about things that are broken. It is equally as beneficial to us for you to tell us when you test something and it works as it should, as it is knowing about things we've broken. So please, keep us informed, tell us what you've tried, and what the results were, good or bad, and for those who contribute the most, we'll make sure you are recognized for it. 😃

If you haven't had the chance make sure you check out the Preview Site & Release Notes to learn about all the changes!

    • Is there a way to do a whitelist for all IP's? I use the API since I sell software, and things I've developed make use of the WHMCS API.
    • Thought I'd try another browser. Both Opera and Firefox are trying to load FA (which is where the problem comes from) from testing.whmcs.community as well Of course, both are broken. As I mentioned , if it's working for you @WHMCS John, it may be because you're using the full width layout, which didn't seem to have that problem. Unfortunately, I've been shifted back to 'boxed' , and it looks like default browsers are as well now. Doesn't seem to be possible to go back to full screen either
    • Thanks again @WHMCS John
    • WHMCS doesn't currently provide a way to mass-cancel PayPal Subscriptions. Deleting/deactivating the app in the PayPal Developer site would probably stop the webhook notifications being sent by PayPal at-all. I don't think it would cancel the Subscriptions. That is something PayPal Technical Support are better placed to confirm for you.
    • Hi @SilverShotHD, After upgrading to 8.9 please follow the instructions to migrate to Universal Prompt, and enter your API keys using the new Web SDK method: https://docs.whmcs.com/DuoSecurity
    • Yes but in next update it will be fix with high security
    • Thanks for the reports everyone. This has been raised with the admins to be investigated. Strangely I'm not experiencing the issue at present, so it does seem to be somehow intermittent or at-least not impacting everybody.
    • this doesn't sound like a WHMCS issue.
    • Thanks @WHMCS John! This all makes sense; just wanted to know for certain that this is how it would work. Because of this, no matter what, definitely best to leave the old module active then, as you and the docs have indicated. (Assuming there are recurring subscriptions still). That means if we *really* wanted to force all subscriptions to the new PayPal gateway module, there's really only one good option: Manually cancel all existing subscriptions in PayPal and notify all customers using PayPal that they must login and create a new subscription manually on next renewal. (Plus prob also add it to the invoice template in the manner you suggested). If there's a programmatic way to cancel the subscriptions from WHMCS, that might be handy. Do you think if we disabled or removed the PayPal app that WHMCS created for the prior PayPal module, that would prevent subscription payments from processing? Or is that a question for PayPal and not you guys? I realize the plan to cancel all subscriptions doesn't obviously align with the goal to prevent customer churn and frustration, however we've had some cases where the old module resulted in significant overpayments on client accounts. This was partly due to user error, but also partly because the module and/or PayPal's part of it didn't do much to help prevent duplicate subscriptions and payments. Because of that a forced clean-slate might still be better than the possibility of that kind of issue continuing/recurring. Hence why I'm looking for an option that blocks all prior subscriptions from renewing, but makes it clear that customers will need to manually create a new subscription. Thanks again for your answers and clarifications.
